Good for him.
What could have been had he not had 3 straight drops against Bama.

Happy for him, but I really thought he'd be like Abram Bootie at LSU

Dude could have been great in this Canada offense. Miss seeing him, he was definetly one of my favorites and was pulling for him

This kid had so much potential here. In Canada's offense this kid would have excelled. Who knows what could have been. Oh well best of luck to the kid.

He Def could have been very effective under this system. Unfortunately tho it won't take off until myles Brennan takes office.

We need expirience at receiver. I wish at least one of those guys that transferred out would have stayed.

Are we surprised or relieved that a guy who played a good bit as a freshman at LSU can start for a school that's won 8 games the last 3 years in a minor conference?

I swear it's like people forget he started at WR on DAY 1 as an 18 year old Freshman at friggen LSU. He is a special talent.

I gave Abram Booty a concussion
True story.

I wished he would have stayed but with the offense being ran under Les I understand why he left.

quote:yep, that's why not surprised. We witnessed a lot of freshman mistakes in SEC games with an inaccurate QB. I never thought the talent wasn't there, just needed experience and some time to physically develop (S&C).

I think Abram Booty had a sure TD pass stripped from him vs Bama in '98 when we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think he will have a huge year. Tyron Johnson at OK ST as well. Miles' offense just scared off some good receivers there.

SMU's WR Courtland Sutton is considered by most mock drafts to be the first WR taken in next year's NFL draft. The offense will flow through him. They also have a freshman All-American WR returning in James Proche. They run mostly 3 WR and run the ball 50% of the time. Having said that, I think we will see Trey get opportunity there, in many ways. No doubt he would have been a better fit in Canada's scheme, but at the time it looked like it was going to remain the status quo, so I understand the decision. Best of luck to all the current and former Tigers!

Not sure I would call the AAC minor. Ask Ole Miss (Memphis), ask Oklahoma and Florida State (Houston), ask Notre Dame (Navy). The AAC actually fared better in the bowl season (and other stats) than the Big 12, is considered the strongest G5 conference, and is VERY deep in talent.

How can you possibly know that?
