:holy shite:
averaging out biased polls dosen't remove bias. It just means that they are the averages of biased polls.

Lmao yea but you only went and found that out after embarrassing yourself with the BCS comment. You’re pathetic attempts to cover your tracks are failing.

Would you agree the more polled the less individual bias matters?

Texas had a far better win than anyone WSU played. The P12 is terrible.
A voter choosing to use best win over other criteria when ranking is bias.
This isnt hard to understand.

Please don't tell me you're going to try and say 61 is enough to eliminate biases again.

That's exactly what they're paid to do. Unlike retired coaches, ADs and professors

The computer polls are very different than all the different human polls you’re defending proving you wrong again.

Media members, on average, watch more football than the average fan. Many fans only watch their own team for one thing..

My god you’re ignorant

What does the average fan have to do with anything being discussed?

No that’s what media members do. They watch their team or the team they’re assigned to they hustle interviews prior to and after those games then they go write their stories for deadline. Not much time to watch multiple games in that profession.

Bully for you. What does this have to do with anything?

I'm not really sure why you keep asking this. I figured sooner or later you'd catch on to the fact that no one is saying theres a better alternative. We're just pointing out the stupidity in you saying the current format is completely unbiased.
Difficult concept, but certainly within your grasp.

Sounds like something you saw on a tv show.
There are beat reporters and guys that work national games

He's not ignorant. Being ignorant would imply that he hasn't been educated on a certain topic. This dude is constantly educated on certain things, and he always chooses to twist things to fit hit narrative.
He's not ignorant, he is flat out stupid.

Exactly right.

Except the computer polls.
Even they have some bias. Human opinion decides which criteria are more important to ranking teams.
They also use those boased polls in their rankings.
quote:
What's a better method? I've asked you and you've avoided
I havent avoided shite. You said polls had no bias. I dont care about your knew goal post position.
quote:
Composites generally mitigate the biases to a good degree
Getting the mean of biased polls isnt mitigating bias.
Every single person that votes in cfb polls is biased in some way.
Youre acting as if half the people arent biased and the other half is and then the mean fixes it.
When in reality its all voters that are biased in some way and composites take the mean of those biased polls.

Polls using a variety of people across the country help mitigate individual bias, absolutely
quote:

Their biases are far less important in a system like the AP or composite.
