I mean, the BCS was dismantled because people felt that the polls were too biased towards the SEC and a handful of other teams, like tOSU and FSU.

Now, your entire stance on polls being unbiased is based entirely on the Massey composite which is just an amalgamation of old computer and human polls which have already been rendered obsolete due to inherent biases.

You've really outdone yourself this time. I'm not even joking, it's really impressive. Congratulations.

Dear lord.....

Adding biased polls to other biased polls doesnt result in less bias.

Youre still acting as if some of the voters arent biased and adding those unbiased voters to ths biased voters, reduces the bias.

So, using one person with one poll will get the same impact of individual bias as a dozen using hundreds ?

You don’t even know what you’re talking about. Guys that work national games lol. You think Mike Wilbon, an AP voter, works national games? Lol he watches northwestern and the NFL on tv. You really don’t have a clue at all.

Polls using a variety of people across the country help mitigate individual bias, absolutely

Explain how adding biased voters removes bias?

Voter 1 = uses best win( he is biased towards using best win)
Voter2 = uses best loss( which is biased towards best loss)

Adding these 2 votes in no way removes bias.

Having 1000 biased people creating 100 biased polls DOES NOT REMOVE BIAS.

You keep referencing these “composite polls” well guess what, nobody uses them. The season polls are espn or AP polls, once the committee convenes their poll is used. Literally nobody uses composite polls so your argument is as usual a straw man, that you only injected after your initial arguments were stomped into dust.

Largely because the composite polls were a part of a system that was trashed because people felt it was too biased.

Quite ironic.

A composite of 6 polls, the Harris and coaches were the components of the BCS. The BCS was dusted due to national push because of inherent bias, particularly towards SEC teams.

The Massey you keep referencing is just a composite of human and computer polls that have already been trashed because their formula wasn't trusted.

Well done. Truly.

A link that shows an amalgamation of a bunch of polls wasn't sufficient to decide which teams are better than others?

There ya go

You're acting like no one has ever used a composite of polls to rank teams. That's essentially what the BCS was.

There's nothing there to confirm anything you said about composite polls

In fact it apoears it matched up with the AP almost every time.

I have no idea how you thought it would probe your point

quote:

Most years, the B.C.S. matched the top two teams in the Associated Press poll in the championship game. That happened 13 times in 16 tries, an 81 percent success rate.

This thing you do isn’t clever, it’s so common there’s a name for it. It’s called projecting, and you do it all the time. You didn’t know anything about the polls or composite polls, you tried to say that the BCS was the non biased composite poll and you were crushed so you ran to the google machine and tried to spam the board with your fake knowledge of polls. You had no clue there was something called a Massey poll until an hour ago now you’re throwing it around like you’ve studied it for years lol. You keep accusing me and other of things you yourself know nothing about. You do this quite often it’s one of your childlike tactics and it’s easily seen through by everyone. You also have no clue how the media works, you actually think all AP voters stay glued to ten TVs watching and breaking down every bit of college football in Saturday’s when the truth is nothing could be farther from the truth and they themselves often admit that. This entire derailment of this thread is just you getting your pants pulled down again and getting spanked by ppl who know infinitely more than you but you as always trying to save face and cover for your embarrassment are off on some fantasy tangent, making up stories about media knowing more than coaches and some grand design of how polls are collaborated on by the AP in an honest attempt to expel bias lol. You’re a joke dude, you’re a blowhard know nothing who uses 4th grade manipulations, spin, straw men projection, flip flopping and jumping all over the place to try and dig yourself out of the ignorant hole you dig.

He doesn’t know what the Massey is he literally went and found it after we embarrassed him when he made the BCS remark.
