Nah we should listen to you.

"LSU was competitive in every game."

I think O has done admirably, I do. But that also doesn't mean that we were on fire during the entire season.

A Fiesta Bowl win is big, IMO. But we should've had that A&M game, it never should've gone to OT.

We are looking better, but in 2011 we were undefeated aside from that last game.

But we've gone from going to the Citrus bowl x2, to a NY6 bowl. Along with every other tiger fan, I want to see that trend continue to improve.

That's fair.

Maybe he should get LSU to better than 3rd in the West.

This thread isnt about whether i mis stated a statement or not, its about whether you agree or not with some players who think coach O has the team going in the right direction or not. Personally I'll go with the players, the national media, the college coaches, the majority of the fan base and my own perception of the team over a few loud mouth mal contents

You go with whatever you want. I will continue to say LSU is underachieving until they win the SEC again.

I don't really give a shite who the HC is.

I have to agree with the players, they are closer to the program and closer to the truth than us.

Who in the hell doesnt want to see the team improve? It has improved a great deal since O took over and needs to continue building the team back up into a team that can be in contention for the playoffs.

How many seasons in the last 17 years, or since Saben took over, have we finished a season ranked higher than 6th in the country? I dont know, but it hasnt been many.

Relax. I was, for the most part, giving O credit for improving this year from last. There's stuff that needs to be worked on but he improved from last year. I gave him due credit. ( said it twice now). Fair enough?

Sheesh

Les Miles last full season we were a 3 loss team, 0 averages over 3 losses per season since taking over. Miles last 3 recruiting cycles averaged #3 nationally, 0s first two classes were #7 and #15, the ceiling for this years class is #4 which would bring his 3 year average to over #8. How is that a “great deal of improvement” or improvement at all?

5 times in the 13 seasons before 0 took over. That’s better than once every 3 seasons. He’s been behind our last 3 coaches tragectory as well, Dinardo finished 2nd in the SEC West in his second year at LSU losing a tie breaker for 1st, Saban won the SEC in year 2 of his tenure and Miles won the West his first season at LSU. Orgeron has yet to finish above 3rd in the West.

I will never understand this. Anytime anyone tries to say anything positive about the coaches or the team a certain group rushes in to dispute everything that's said.

Then we get the "what hate?"

Not us.

How is it improvement? Miles hadnt had even a top 10 team since 2011, much less a top 6 team. Going from totally unranked to being considered the 6th best team in the country is a great deal of improvement. You and some.of your coharts may not see it, but most every other college football fan in the country does

I just gave O his due credit. Twice. So either I'm ( and every other fan that has admitted he has improved from last season to this one is lying) A. A liar or B. Not speaking factual things that actually happened after this past season.

You tell me.

But apparently I have a mental condition because I don't see things the way you do. That's a mental condition in itself.

Ok but you’re using subjective AP rankings that don’t mean anything and depend upon what other teams do. The facts are the record hasn’t improved, the recruiting hasn’t improved and he hasn’t come close to even winning a division. Rankings don’t count for anything you do know that right? And I don’t know where you’re getting us being totally unranked from, Miles last season we finished ranked #16, you’re making stuff up.

To be fair, we have improved. Went from the Buffalo wild wings (Citrus bowl) twice to a NY6 bowl. That is an improvement. Regardless of how you feel about O.

But there is still work to be done.

This is a fair and reasonable assessment of last season.

If this is not reasonable, please, really asking, show me where I am wrong.
