Congrats to Curtis Thompson on his first win on the Korn Ferry Tour. He's been through some struggles since he left LSU, but good to see him get it going in the right direction. With the win, Curtis will get his PGA tour card for the 2021 season.

At the PGA Tour event this week at the Safeway Open, Sam Burns finished T-7th. After a read hot first 2 rounds and the lead at -15, Sam lost the touch and only shot -2 the last 2 rounds. It's still a great start to the new season as the 2021 season started this week. Ben Taylor also had a pretty good week and finished tied for 36th.

What happened to Smylie Kaufman? He was a top 20-25 player on tour just a few years back and since lost his PGA card now playing on Asian tour. Hope he makes it back. Represented LSU well.

Burns short-sided himself a minimum of 3-4 times in Round 3, plus a couple late in the final round or he wins this tournament. He lost this tournament "between the ears".
