Next game, Ford 5 carries and Blue gets 15.

In my opinion, the decision to keep JL on the bench after his first int ruined his confidence.

What? He was having a bad day. 2 consecutive interceptions, one of which was very nearly returned for a TD is enough to sit for a while. I think we will need him for Arkansas, the SEC-CG and the big game.

Completely different set of circumstances. Do you really need them explained to you?

Ford ran tough last night, finished off his runs. he keeps that up, he'll continue to get carries.

Ford wide is our most explosive play, it stretches the defense and he has speed and vision. We have run it less than 20 times all year and we've averaged close to 10 yards per. I havent seen anyone stop it but we dont use it. Maybe we still saving it?

IMO Lee has not been the same since JJ came back. His first throw of the game he looked scared to death. I think Les knew what what he was doing all along bringing JJ back on the team and it was for the bama game, which worked out last night. JJ's mobility against a defense like bama is a weapon and he played good enough which is what our qb's need to do. Hopefully JL can get his head screwed back on again because I think our offense just seems to be more organized with him and our recievers know they will get the ball. Up to this point it is hard to argue Les's handling of this situation. We will need both of them to win it all.

Miles refuse to let JL really work on his passing game. 10-15 pass attempts a game is way too low.

I'm sorry, but Lee had more bad plays than just the two int's. Plus, speaking of his confidence...he left it in Baton Rouge. Lee could be an elite QB if he didn't bail out of every throw. JJ needs to learn to check out of plays that will be ineffective against the defense that he sees at pre-snap. Both are seniors, and both have flaws. I will continue to yell and curse at both of them for the remainder of the season, and will be more than happy to buy them a beer after the game.

Lee will be fine and I think will still be the starter.

I doubt it. I think Lee lost the starting job.

As usual, there's all sorts of crazy on this board.

you tell me a QB that is allowed to throw the ball 30 times a game wont be more comfortable and develop into a better passer than one that throws 10-15x/game.

Bama's defense is sick. Remember that Arky only scored 13 or 14 on them. So I'm not worried about our offense.

Great point. This game just shows we need to trust Les. Les knew we would need JJ and he knows we need JL. Les is a great Coach because he is like a great parent. He loves his players but puts teams first.

Les had to pull Lee. You saw him out there. Bama's defense was eating Lee alive. I'd rather have Jefferson start the rest of the games because Lee's confidence looks gone.

Also, it was clear that Ford was having success. I do not know why they continued to test the middle with Ware when Ford was doing well on the edge.

keeping the D honest. and the first INT kinda got to lee obviously. i thought he did a good job getting rid of it early on. i think he'll still start just like JJ started last season despite a ton of poor performances. they'll work it out.

did anyone notice that the first interception came after a bad snap and Lee had to pick the ball up off the ground before throwing? That barely got mentioned and it NEVER got re-shown. I think after the third or fourth replay, Gary might have said, "I think... was that snap LOW or something?" It wasn't just low, it was on the freaking ground. Hard to blame Lee totally for that...

Otherwise, I figure Les knows his guys. I assumed his keeping Lee out was to preserve his confidence, live to fight another day, all that jazz. And kudos to JJ for coming in and doing just enough to get us the W and taking hits like a boss!

Yeah, our offense really lit it up when we changed QB's.

Les has been looking for an opening to bench Lee and $horty's defense gave it to him. Did anyone find themselves wishing for a couple of fade routes from JL to RR when we were down close? But, man, it sure helped having that dual threat in the red zone...

(note all the JJ fans posting that Lee should have been benched)

Lee is not done...this game called for Jefferson to be in there...our receivers were not getting seperation from the backs...questionable play calling on our part..at least from what we have been doing...no routs across the middle...but thats ok...we won,,
