2016- Coastal Carolina won the title --- Did not return to Omaha in 2017
2017 Florida won- Returned in 2018
2018 Oregon STate Won - Did not return in 2019
2019 Vandy Won - No 2020 tourney(covid) returned in 2021
2021- Miss State Won- Did not return in 2022
2022 Ole Miss- Did not return in 2023
2023 LSU- Did not return in 2024
2024 Tennessee- Did no return in 2025

The overwhelming thing to take from this is in recent years teams have either gotten hot or had some big time contributors that they lost off of their CWS championship team.

LSU is back in Omaha after being eliminated in 2024.

TLDR: Suck It

Anyone that wanted Jay gone is a moron. I'd have said that if we lost to Little Rock in the 2nd game too.

A popular thing among some morons who post here. First time we fall behind, they come out of the woodwork.

Jay alluded to this in the post game press conference. You need a core base of veterans and then need a new, rising base of freshmen. With the portal it might not happen every year. You have to keep the pipeline flowing and hopefully keep some vets around. What a life for a Baseball coach.

The negatives will ask for receipts of Jay doesn’t win the whole thing.

That’s the way a message board is.

He's an elite recruiter. He might be the best in the country. He's been successful at 3 different schools over a decade span.

College baseball is also way more competitive today than 25+ years ago when you had maybe 15 schools investing in the sport. He's also only 48 years old and could be here for a long time.

No one from last year's CWS is back for this year. Might be a reflection of the need to push the transfer portal back. The only team from 2023 to make it this year is us. So no one in the field will have meaningful CWS experience except Josh Pearson

But he's not LSU's coach, we have one and he's elite. People who cant get over us not hiring Vitello need to move on.

Its a dumb reason to keep attacking Jay who has accomplished more.
