re: For those who think we need vast improvement in QB play to complete in 2015...

We can't win it all without great play from all of our units.
This is true. As long as QB play is subpar, our other units will need to compensate.
Defense can't get gashed up the middle like they did against MSST/AUB/ND.
Running game/OL can't get abused like they did against Arky
Special Teams can't hand games away like they tried against Florida/Ole Miss
However, if our QBs can do what Jennings did in 7 games, and do it in 15, with subtle improvement, combined with the other units shoring up their issues from last year, we'll be the most dangerous team in the country.

Thanks.......... But what I say is true... LSU went 8-5 last year with talent that most teams and coaches would dream of....
DEAL WITH IT..............
I have delt with it. I moved on. I'm looking forward to next season regardless of our record. Know why? Because I like watching football.

Thanks to the defense and special teams...
And yet, all four QBs played well enough to win 11 games. Isn't that what you were asking for?

After the huge early departures on the defensive side of the ball in the 2013 NFL Draft, and then the huge early departures on the offensive side of the ball in the 2014 NFL Draft…. our roster was embarrassingly thin.

Kind of like saban losing 5 games in 2002 with talent other coaches dream of?
No coach dreams of their entire offensive skill position players not having more than 2 games started under their belt. No coach dreams of playing the 4th most true freshman in the entire country

Dude...Chill.... I love watching football as well.. I can't wait for September... Just dealing with so-called fans that think LSU is the best program I the country and will go 11- or 12-0 and in the NC... We don't know that yet and from what I saw last year that until we get a huge boost in QB play an 8-5 record is a real possibility..........

Ok. But that means Miles didn't think ahead and recruit very well...

I don't care that we can win with a sucky quaterback as much as the lack of ability to find a competent QB

2011 Recruiting Class
Jarvis Landry, Zach Mettenberger, Odell Beckham, Trai Turner,
2012 Recruiting Class
Travin Dural, Jeremy Hill, (Missed BIG on Gunner Kiel)
2013 Recruiting Class
John Diarse, Kevin Spears, Avery Peterson, Anthony Jennings, Hayden Rettig
2014 Recruiting Class
Malachi Dupre, Trey Quinn, DJ Chark, Leonard Fournette, Darrel Williams, Brandon Harris
We took 3 WRs and 2 QBs in 2013 to replace Landry, OBJ, Mett
We took 3 WRs, 2 RBs, and 1 QB in 2014 to help bolster that production.
Is Miles supposed to recruit the same position two years in a row so that when a 3rd year Junior leaves for the NFL, a 3rd year Junior can replace him?

Why did you compare our QB's to blake sims? you must be a bama fan.

Jennings was a terrible QB, we have too many weapons coming back to not do a better job distributing the ball thru the air. Period.
I am as sunshine pumper as they come, but he must perform better or Harris must step up

Yes.
As important as QB is to a team, you should never be in the position LSU has been in several times over the past 10

I was moreso referring to RB/WR since Mett's departure was to be expected. There simply aren't enough available scholarships every year to have to fill team needs and project early NFL departures as well.
As far as the QB position is concerned, you're right. We absolutely needed Stephen Rivers to pan out or Gunner Kiel to enroll in 2011-12. A Mett-Kiel-Harris transition would have been seamless.

So you're a stat box reader and not a game watcher? AKA a dumbass.
If you don't think LSU needs vast improvement at the QB position, then idk what to tell you. You are helpless.

i am expecting our qb play to be better this year. both jennings and harris should be better and have more command running the offense. thank God we will have a solid running attack. i expect our offense to be alot better this season with all of our skill players and qbs gaining experience last year. fournette is going to tote the frickin rock this year and be the beast we all know he is.

My 3 year old knows the difference between needs and wants. You should learn from him.
