Good team. Beat an FCS team in the manner that they should have.

They have a good set of backs that are going to be hard to stop. It's a game LSU should win, but we'll have our work cut out for us.

Bama would’ve been to their 3 string by halftime and rolled 63-0

LSU should win — I’m thinking 34-10

Bro I am an avid sports fan and I didn’t know they had a football team, only had heard of them in basketball. You can’t tell shite from this game.

They looked fine. They rushed for over 400 and passed for over 200.
They struggled in the second quarter to score and Duquesne missed a fg. Travis was fine. Their oline looked solid run blocking for sure. But Duquesne couldn’t tackle for shite. Overall can’t really gain much from it bc it was a gimme game that Florida st did what they should’ve. Which they didn’t do last year with inferior teams fwiw

DU constantly got sacks and pressure on their qb

1 sack.

FLa St had no running game

405 yards, 7.5 YPC, 3 different backs with 100 yards.

FLA St defense looked slow even against a literal high school team

Literally not a high school team. The rest is subjective.

Tomorrow I’m taking the equality out on my house and betting the points and the over for next week.

I know this is a lie, because trolls live under bridges.

Totally different Hawaii team from last year. 51 new people on the roster and entire completely new coaching staff.

Is their o-line still trash?

They were blocking FCS level d-linemen. We'll find out next week. I saw a good bit of plays that would not fly with our defense.

Honestly I truly believe that FSU would have been better off scrimmaging against themselves or even mostly walkons with a few starters mixed in.

Their run blocking was good but that was against guys literally half their size. They looked completely outmatched everywhere except for the OL against FSU DL in the run game. FSU’s DBs didn’t look like they will be able to handle our WRs and I believe our freshman TE could have a 100+ yard game against them if we wanted. They will struggle against our run game as well.

Now their offense might score some points but it’s hard to tell just how good they really were. Imo their WRs should have had a much better game and it’s not like they weren’t trying to pass the ball on them. The majority of the successful pass plays were within 15 yards. The medium to long range stuff didn’t work all that good for them and their WRs just didn’t look athletic or polished like ours.

If our DL puts consistent pressure on that QB our secondary should have a good day. With the combination of it being in New Orleans, our coaching staff vs theirs, our talent vs theirs and that we played against real talent this weekend while they played against fools gold we will win this game by double digits.

They better forget about that big win they just got and not come into this game actually believing that they are good to go. They better use this game strictly for film purposes and work their butts off this week to prepare for what’s coming.

The difference in opponent will be a little surprising to some on that team. Not all but some. I don’t think they all know just how bad of a team they played compared to what they will be up against next week. The physicality alone will catch some of them off guard. It depends on what they believe is actually going to be showing up next week. If they feel like the media or believe what’s being said about LSU right now, then it will end very badly for them. I mean blow out bad. If they know what’s coming and are prepared for a top level SEC team, then it’ll be closer.

I watched some of the first half and none of the second half. FSU has good running backs. 3 are very good. None will likely to win the heisman. Their O-line manhandled. QB didn’t throw much. Didn’t need to. Their defense has talent but Duquesne did move the ball on them. They were not surprisingly the much better team. What they looked like should not change our approach at all.

No surprise, they like to run the ball. Against Duquesne, they were able to create big holes. They also seem to like screen plays.

TCU beat Duquesne 45-3 last season so losing to FSU 47-7 means what exactly? I don’t what you can draw from a game like that?

One other thing. I think 5 of their portal pick ups are from Oregon. I believe they all played in the first half.

Key to the game: we will have to set the edge early on them and be aggressive/physical while keeping an eye on their 6'7 WR.

Forgot to mention I'm an dumb casual who watched 10 mins of the game yesterday

The only thing I really took away is they sputtered in the red zone a few times.
