are you insinuating that someone else isn't a real coach?

you love the guy but don't know much about him. the chief doesn't want to be a head coach. he is the rare individual that does what he loves and doesn't give a damn about "ladder climbing". of course, he only makes $1,000,000 per year. i guess with his kids all grown and out of the house, he and his wife can get by on that.

Not really, it's just refreshing to hear someone really rip through all of the football stuff that we all crave to hear and discuss on here non stop. It's just nice to hear is all.

That's all well and good but it seems like every other post you make bashes or insults Miles. Why not just let it go and enjoy the great job he is doing? Miles has been great for LSU.

"I hate Les Miles" is a valid point?

As a rule I never listen to coach interviews bc they are all worthless fluff. If Chavis was different then it is something nice. Whenever XM 91 does an interview I turn the channel.

Right or wrong, his problems with Miles isn't/are not really about results, contrary to what he may claim. His criticisms have consistently been about petty stuff over the years. Some people just haven't been able to enjoy the Les Miles era because they simply can't get past their issues with him being different than Saban in so many ways.

Believe it or not, it's the job of the head coach to field absurd questions with sanitized answers.
He's like a president. He is the face and the voice. He is the politician. His success has as much to do with his choices of advisors (assistant coaches. See nicky).
Guys like Chavis like the nuts and bolts of football, not the attention involved with being a head coach.

Weren't you one of the MANY bashing the hire of Chief in the first place, now heaping praise on the hire? Can't have it both ways!!

Chavis has literally zero desire to be a head coach. People have been asking him for fifteen years.

Pay attention Les.

The guy who hired Chavis and has guided the club to the 3rd highest winning% in the country during his tenure has been paying attention I would think. The problem is this mentality of 'still not enough' is what poisons and destroys programs. Be assured, if Saban had not come to the rescue, UA would be staring down Major #5 in a 20 year span and a severe hurt from the NCAA as we speak. The seeds of this is clearly seen in ButthurtNation and should be contested at every turn. You Sir, should be forever grateful to Saban and Miles, while at the same time acknowledging their shortcomings. The problem is most likely you only do the latter...and only with CLM.
