For those not wanting CFB Playoff Expansion...

Imagine:
2005. Could have snuck in at #8
2006 LSU making the Playoff at #4...
2011. Committee probably has Bama ranked around 3 or so, may have gotten knocked out before playing us.
2012. Would have gotten in around 7-8.
2018. Beat A&M and we are #5 or 6.
There are your chances for more titles. With us being in the SEC West we want the chance for rematches in the Playoff.

Expansion will spread out the talent. Expand the playoff.

Expansion of the playoff will distribute the talent across those common teams that make it frequently.
Unless expanded, expect more opt outs and WRs playing QB.

You realize based on the last few years that Bama will get another chance with 4 teams right? They shouldn't have been in the Playoff in 2017 when they didn't win the West. Going to 8 will even the field and allow US in.

Expand and more players do not opt out. Make it part of NIL deals that you have to participate in certain percentage of plays and if bowl eligible/playoff eligible you must play in the game if not injured.

it hurts bama and helps us. The last time they had to play 3 top 15 teams in a row, they got their arse kicked by 1 , should have lost to other, and played tight physical game against the first. (LSU, Miss State, and Auburn in year they beat Georgia for championship.)
You don’t want them having 6 weeks to plan and get healthy. After the shite ratings this next game is going to get it’s happening.

We are lucky if there are four teams each year deserving of a national championship.

That’s 6 in 8 years so 6/16 possible teams.
Just because the games aren’t close doesn’t mean the playoffs are bad.

Also, saw some comment about the 4th seed never doing well. The 4th seed has won it all twice since the 4 team expansion. If there is a drop off in talent, it's not at 4 teams.
The people in here bitching about the playoffs, or the same reactionary Andy's who want to fire the HC after every lose.
