I thought the refs might weasel their way into the right call by saying the LSU player had possession, fumbled, and regained possession.
I understand why the rule exist in it's current form, but it needs a carve out for turnovers.

Also, saw some comment about the 4th seed never doing well. The 4th seed has won it all twice since the 4 team expansion. If there is a drop off in talent, it's not at 4 teams.
The people in here bitching about the playoffs, or the same reactionary Andy's who want to fire the HC after every lose.
There are still only so many scholarship spots per school. These kids were essentially forced into some weird indentured servitude. Any alternative is better then what we had.
This is all the NCAA's and NFL's fault. They could have created a farm league for kids who wanted a check, but didn't want to go to college. They could have compensated the kids better that went to school.

Is the stuff about Riley not wanting to coach in the SEC true? If so I doubt we got far in negotiations. The reason why LSU was mentioned with Riley was a smokescreen, and a negotiation tactic by his agent.
