re: For those concerned LSU isn't devoting enough funds to the baseball program. X post.

This is what I've suspected and why Jay so publicly is fighting for more rev share dollars. I know LSU baseball has a passionate donor base and they do a lot to help the program, including roster/recruiting. But the nature of that money fluctuates year to year and Jay and others have to pound the pavement for it. Rev share dollars are direct to the team and Jay. It's probably so much easier on a coach to have that commitment directly from the school to know what you're working with. The scholarship aspect is another good point.
I believe people when they say LSU baseball doesn't lack financial support, but it's institutional support that seems to be lacking.

Let's play a game. We all donate $10 for every ball Yorke hits and then double it for every ball he catches.

This. I was hoping it might change with Woodward out but it appears it won't for now.

Tell me another baseball program that can raise $500K in one night?
I’d bet Texas and Texas A&M very likely could

I’ll give my two cents on the whole Jay situation from the outside looking in. When Jay is making comments about schools being “all in” on baseball I don’t think he is necessarily referring to the amount of money they have. I think they are probably a top 5, if not top 3 baseball school in terms of money. I think he is referring to the help that he gets from the administration. I’d imagine he is doing a lot of the legwork when it comes to fundraising for baseball. I think he is comparing the help he has to the help that other programs might have and he thinks he deserves more.

We should make it a special day and lead up to it with a count down on social media and see how much we can raise in one day. Then the next day announce how much was raised and then see other people join.
Also, they need to somehow say an unnamed donor has agreed to match it and see how much that can drum up. People like doing things in groups/ teams.

Most people love NIL if it’s other people’s money. Few of the big fans on this board actually give meaningful dollars.

I appreciate her raffle but Venmo people have no idea that most of the population doesn’t use Venmo. Tried to login and it sent a 2factor to my old phone number. I get along just fine in life without Venmo.
Meanwhile every bank in America offers Zelle for free.
