I agree dg. His presence on the court will eventually make a difference. I believe the SEC is not ready for him..Ha!

Ive seen this been thrown around a lot. wtf does it mean? Does anyone even watch sec basketball? It sucks. I think he will be fine.

The SEC might be down but it will provide better competition than ULL, ULM, Indiana State, etc. I interpret this as him not being ready to contribute in SEC play on a consistent basis. He's the type of player that would really benefit from a redshirt. He wouldn't start for ULL this season and they are downright awful.

Plus, he suffers from gingervitis, so he's an easy target.

This is the main reason for his criticism. Freakin gingers. That scholarship could have gone to a non-ginger. They're stealing our jobs, I'm telling ya!

ULL has lost to McNeese and an NAIA school. Despite keeping it close against LSU, they are awful.

Every team could use a 6'8" white dude that can shoot on their team. LSU is no exception.

But does every team want a ginger? I'm glad Trent is making strides in racial equality with his signing of Ludwig, but is our fan base ready to accept one of his kind?

(All of this is sarcasm for the football rantards who wander into this thread).

I guess a little spice is better than none. Trent knows and we will be aware in time. Except it and let's enjoy the challenges we will be witness to this year. We should surprise a few teams with our D as long as we stay healthy and out of foul trouble with the top 3. And we may be embarrassed a game or 2.

I see Eddie Ludwig evolving into the next Matt Bonner, complete with sandwich blogs on the Spurs website.

he'll be better than Ross Neltner was, as early as next year. At least by his JR year.

Agree. I thought Ross would be better at Vandy than he was.

Matt Bonner is the original "Red Rocket" and the Spurs are glad to have him. If he doesn't shoot it, Pop benches him. Ross who? Lester, I believe with the proper coaching and the right system we maybe would have remembered him. Trent knows!

By the time Eddie Ludwig is an NBA first round draft pick, Matt Bonner will be ready to hand him the crown as King of the Gingers.

think his biggest problem is that he is not a post-up player and needs to be on a wing but cant play there cuz of our lack of size. Could be wrong but thats what I think.

He needs to build his strenth up for the post play but actually has a decent shot from the wing and baseline. Once there is more depth down low(next year) he should be an asset on the wing and does have a high court I.Q. Actually reminds me a bit of a young Blanton, who went on to become a great scorer.
