have been a Mles supporter (STILL love that dude)
But I don't get this.
Coming back this year while literally having made zero changes to his offense really exposes a side of him that I feel has been obvious for some time.
He's got kind of an a-hole streak in him. That whole "aw shucks, I speak funny" thing is a joke.
He isn't going into living rooms and convincing five star kids and their parents to come to LSU while sounding like a moron.
He straight up took the "I'm going to prove I'm right and everyone else is wrong" approach.
Nick fricking Saban has more humility than this a-hole. Coaches all around the country are modernizing their offense. It's a sign that they have the ability to self evaluate. They have introspection. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, that they DO have a responsibility to subjugate their fricking pride in exchange for millions of dollars if necessary.
Miles has just come off as a stubborn prideful arse. His decision making us CLEARLY influenced by a tendency to dig in if criticized.
I'm sure he's not a bad human being, but I would fire ANYONE who worked for me with that approach.

It looked like that after November, but then when the rubber hit the road, you got all the "we can't make a better hire," "he's a good guy," "he's getting an unfair deal" folks to show up. There will always be a segment of the fanbase that would rather the same ole because at least they don't have to worry it will be different in any way.
When this game is old news, they'll be back. Remember, Les Miles was coaching for his job against Ole Miss and they looked as bad as possible. Penalties everywhere. Stupid time outs. Busts after timeouts. Turnovers. The apologists STILL eventually came out to oppose meaningful change.

I'll add. Now that we've seen him literally come back with the SAME shite after an entire offseason, any fan who tries to claim that Miles doesn't let his need to keep his critics from looking right affect his decisions, INCLUDING personnel decision is crazy.
It is pretty clear who we're freaking with here. The cloak is off and what is underneath ain't pretty

He literally went from, "I don't know how to fix it" to "the engine is pretty freaking strong" after the coup went south. To think he was anything but empowered was a fool's errand.

I've been posting. Congrats on the loss yesterday Dukke. You seem excited. Enjoy it.

At least fire him now so we can't claim losing the recruiting class is more important then getting someone who is willing to work hard enough to make us competitive.

Dukke, what is your season prediction from here on out?

What's so alarming is every aspect of coaching is inept poor tackling. Poor off. Execution. Poor kicking. Lame rugby kicker. I see a worse defense than ever so much wasted talent
However, nothing else seemed different. Hell, even had a KO out of bounds after a defensive score following several shanked punts. I mean it is literally flashbacks, or so I was hoping.

Well get ready because I guarantee you we lose a few SEC games unless a miracle occurs and we suddenly know how to pass, kick, block, and get plays in on time.

Were here last night.
Rick claims he jumped ship but when you dig in, he kinda seems still on the ship.
Beefense is same old same old

Actually, we're all really disappointed that myopic people like yourself had your way so that another promising season could be sabotaged. You aren't a coach so you can't tell us that our offense was good because you don't see the film. All you can go by is the 237 yards of total offense right? Guess we'll have to trust them since they have all that experience, right?

Where we as a fan base really fricked up with Les Miles is that we were too supportive, too forgiving, too charitable in our judgments and too generous with our money. That has to stop, or the dumpster fire never will.
It's going to be a lot easier for the fanbase to let go when the media turns on Miles -- which they are starting to do.
It's like a deal with the devil -- The media were the do-gooder heroes -- rescuing the misunderstood genius that is Miles from the "dumb Southern" wrath -- and then yesterday happened -- irrefutable proof that the "spoiled" LSU fans were right -- so now, with the radar on Miles, they'll get in front of this by turning on him -- because, that's what the media does.

Some people lose sight of that. There was a thread last night where a couple of posters wanted the team plane to crash.

The people who wanted Miles, don't then get to claim everyone else is happy we've lost because we were right or whatever. Their stupid side won when he didn't get fired.
We aren't happy we lost. Apologists are happy a good guy saved his job by pretending to change and benefiting from state budget crisis.
