Would not be true if Florida won game 3 and swept Tennessee. Florida likely would have moved up to #1. All top six teams had one loss last week.

I’m not exactly sure what you’re getting at. If any power 5 team never lost they’d probably be number 1, but all teams lose and have bad games.

was reading earlier the SEC power rankings and they have Kentucky as #1 with the nations #1 RPI. Not sure who they use for RPI. Should make the UK series good
Kentucky is playing at #10 Louisville Tuesday. That may give us a glimpse into their game against a top 10 OOC team on the way into the box.
Edit: i know midweek but it's something, last week it was south Carolina playing then #13 in Charlotte with a 5-0 win.. showed no cupcake regardless.

Sunshine pump alert (I know, wrong board), if LSU wins the series this weekend we should get through the next 5 relatively easily. This should give the team time to come together nicely for a postseason push.
Nate Ackenhausen is expected back this week.
Garrett Edwards and Chase Shores are still not out of it. Having just one back would be amazing, possibility at both.
Javen Coleman is going to pitch this year. He’s recovered exceptionally well from Tommy John and you can barely tell that he had his UCL reconstructed.
Gavin Guidry seems like a dude already and will only get better with more time. Could definitely be your closer.
Thatcher Hurd is a great pitcher. People forget he had 1 earned run in 3 consecutive starts this year (15.2 IP) before getting into a slump. We’re going to be happy we have him if/when he’s needed in a game 4.
Paxton Kling WILL figure it out. He’s got 6 weeks to do so, and I expect it to be sooner than later. Once the light turns on, watch out!
Ok back to melting about being ranked #1 for the 9th consecutive week.

Their starter was listed as TBA. Maybe they go to their lefty who hasn't pitched more than a inning. But then who?
We had Little starting followed by Hurd most likely. Tough weekend with the delay and weather but LSU found a way to win one and ultimately had momentum.

If LSU wins this weekend they have 5 straight series against teams either not expected to make a regional, or not expected to get out of one. Compared to the 1st 4 series where they all are expecting to host ( i know UT is slumping but they are a very talented team and i would not be surprised if they turned it around quickly )
The schedule is setting up pretty nicely for a 21 - 22 win SEC season, which would be very good considering the murderers row of a schedule in the 1st month.

Assuming LSU goes 2-1 this weekend, that would be 9-5. Win all remaining series with 2 sweeps would get you at 21-8.
Vandy’s got a tough schedule coming up, they could falter a bit go 10-8. Never say never.
