I have seen better play calling watching Friday night high school football than watching Stevie E call plays for LSU.

CEO sold us on bringing in the best coaches so far he haven't brought in anybody worth talking about. Coach Rob got turned down by the Browns

Ensminger needs to be the tight ends coach. Like it was time for miles to go because of his alliance with Cameron. Orgeron’s fate will be determined on his decision moving forward with E. He gave it a try, with bad results. Move on and do what’s right or the next coach will.

Then why wasn’t Canada given more than 1 year?

It's funny how Canada got the boot for wanting O to leave the offense to him and he was judged as a terrible OC by some. Then they say SE needs another year when this IS his 2nd year. Go look at his stats in 2016. One of the worst offenses LSU has had since 2000. Let me guess that's all Cameron's fault though.

Hypothetically, bringing in someone to help E scheme wouldn't help our production that much.

I say that because it appears most of the issue is in-game adjustments and the natural back and forth between opponents checking each other.

As evidence I submit our 1st qtr production vs. our 3rd qtr production.

If I'm understanding the role you proposing for this help, it is all in planning and not active in-game.

Ensminger definitely does not know what he's doing. He is supposed to scheme towards his strengths. He has skill athletes, but his o-linemen desperately need short, quick passes to take the pressure off of em. Once you hit some of these and some QB runs, then you can go vertical a little bit. Ensminger is clueless, and Orgeron is sitting there watching the same dreadful film, yet no major changes. WTF!

I'm hearing this more and more. It's all in game stuff that he's having the most trouble with. all the more reason to get a new play caller.

Right!

I want to believe Ensminger can improve, but I also know that in-game playcalling and adjustments require a skill set, a knack. Ensminger does not have it.

E has done well with early SCRIPTED drives. after that he has been well you know, terrible, as far as adjusting. Remember this. Poeple for years all blamed the OC for LSU's troubles when it was miles who was the common denominator. i think WE COULD be in same situation here. it may not matter what OC you have here anymore due to certain circumstances. I will just leave it at that. also, i do not see E going anywhere.

So you want a man who had a total of 0 players return who were starter at the skill positions run off.0 running backs, 0 Wide outs, 0 quarterbacks and a rotation of offensive lineman that hadn't been able to work as a unit for more than a couple of games, run off. Got it. Combine that with a new offense and a starting QB that came in the fall and slit time through most of the fall before being names starter. All this plus the running backs probably wouldn't start for another SEC team.0 first or second team SEC on offense. Les left a mess. Deny it all you want. He has to have time to put in his entire offense and get the same players to practice an entire spring and fall. You people are insufferable.

Everyone understands the point of this thread.

The people who defend E blindly don't have anything to say because there's nothing to say.

LSU's scheme is a mess, the offense has regressed horrendously and there are no more excuses.

I don't think that's true at all.

But again, probably my fault.

Hell, I don't even want o next year. I'm not opposed to SE being on the staff, just not as the OC.

As far as o is concerned, he can go kick rocks in my opinion. He hired Canada then fired him one year later. Now we have a worse offense than the one we had in 2017. This is all on o.

bullshite.

Look at the stats for the LSU offense. They are inexcusable for a team like LSU.

And before you claim lack of talent, our bench warmers would start for a lot of schools with much better offenses than LSU.

Is he?

He has been in charge of recruiting either as HC or recruiting coordinator for 4 or 5 years now and all I hear from his defenders is they we can’t compete with Bama because we have severe lack of talent.

And the D line is the weak link of what could otherwise be an all time great unit.

Why worry about that? If our former DL Coach can be our Head Coach, making our current DL Coach our DC isn't any sort of stretch. And who knew, once again, the best coordinator in the country is right in our own locker room.

Well of course it all's Miles fault. Not a damn thing that hasn't worked out since late September of 2016 is o's fault. He's been in charge of the program as an interim head coach and full time head coach for over 2 years, but nothing is his fault.

i really don't think we should blame anything on o until he has at least 5 years in as the head man.

The bug is already there.....the bug is: we need better O line players and that won’t happen with one recuiting class...

Get over it...

Coach E has done a great job with the line he has....
