Two absolute buffoons have won NCs here. Kelly, for whatever reason, does not have what it takes to win one. That is obvious.

Kelly isn’t getting fired.

Yet he’s a dropped TD pass on the last play of the game last year from being 0-3 against BK.

He’s a miracle win by Tiger Stadium away from being 2-1 against Kelly at a much tougher place to win. See, both can play that game. He’s also had an 11 win season at Ole Miss.

Who do you seriously hire to take his place. And actual serious question.

LSU isn’t going to poach a top coach, but if you are going to settle for BK results, you pay a BK contract. Only problem with that is if they are successful you have to compete with everyone to retain. Contract is not set up to encourage success for someone at the tail of their career. I’d love to be fired and given tens of millions. Today’s contracts are win/win for coaches. If you aren’t successful you keep your job or fired with pay. If you are successful, just leave.

Why the frick do the fans have to come up with a coach? That's Woodward's job. Better yet let's can his arse and get a competent AD

If he cannot significantly improve the talent on this roster, he will either retire in a few years or be let go.

like Nick Saban when we hired him?

Nick Saban obviously once in a lifetime type coach so he is the outlier.

Whatever the process would be over the next 4-5 years with a new coach, it would be better than 4-5 years with BK

LSU desperately needs a starting caliber QB. Nuss is not athletic, can't read defenses, and too slow to process what he's seeing. He's inconsistent and inaccurate. When he's forced to run, his eyes goes down and he misses wide open receivers. Now to top things off, he's absolutely scared out of his mind and won't stand in the pocket even when it's clean. IMO, you can't really evaluate Kelly with him having a such a sub-par starting QB.

Cignetti is viable, but not until he wins for 3 years at Indiana.

It's time LSU/Woodward/Kelly sucked it up and brought back Ed Orgeron as recruiting coordinator. Not as a coach. Just recruiting. Because until LSU is top 5 consistently the talent won't be there to compete with Bama/Georgia/OSU/Oregon

OU, Auburn and Arkansas also could be looking for a head coach Are we a better job than OU? They have more money
If OU fires Venables you take him immediately to replace Kelly. The defensive talent would be off the chart at LSU.

Are you serious Clark?

I would love to be on this board if we paid 54 million to buy out BK to hire a 21-15 coach in Venables coming off of 5-7 season
