Miles is what he is as a coach. That will not change.

And until we make a change, we will continue to physically play the ULL and Louisiana Techs of the world to a standstill.

What year was Bo hired? Did LSU have a hard hitting physical D under Saban before he was there?

how many teams in the last two years did we just physically dominate to the point where they had guys dropping like flies?

We didnt do that when Saban was here.

And didnt they knock out about 6 starting QBs in a row in '07?

Our D this year has hit more than the past few. Not only do we lack toughness but the past two seasons we've lacked leaders.

I think Saban is an amazing coach but people constantly bringing him up kind of reminds me of TV programs that still talk ad nauseum about Michael Jackson.

Well how about this, I've noticed that teams are dishing out beatings on us instead of the other way around.

I agree with this post. Mentally and physically, seems like a completely different type of football team.

Look at Bama's team this year and just a couple of years ago. Big difference.

There appears to be a big difference between the OL and DL at Bama and LSU. That's the big difference.

I really hate it when people quote this record of Sabans. LSU was 2-9 the year before we went 8-4. The next year we won the SECC for the first time ever. The 8-5 year we were doing pretty good until Matt Mauck went down for the year and Randle took over. 13-1 Mauck healthy = NC. 9-3 Randle/Russell - the battle between untalented experience and talent with no brains.

Pelini brought the toughness. When Bo left, so did hard nose football.

What burns my arse is the amount of times after a big hit,a player will stand there admiring his work while the play is still in progress!!!! Total lack of coaching and dicipline!!

Yeah, finishing the play is an issue. Pelini's defense was hardnose, swarming, attacking defense. It had its shortcomings but overall was very good. Players were making reads, in position and attacking.

agree Tigers need to act a little more like angry Tigers on the field. Too many players from LSU staying on the field hurt

I sure remember a lot of bitching about Pelini's defense his first year or two here. There were many complaints that it was too much read and react To the offfense instead of forcing the offense to react to you. Perhaps fans just tend to overglorify the past and underappreciate the present.
