Just caught this nugget of straight up dread

... basketball program – and potentially its entire athletic department, owing to a dreaded NCAA finding of “lack of institutional control” – would be hit with debilitating sanctions.
LINK

Is this possible? Well I guess it is, unless he don't know what the rules are.. I've missed it, if we have had this discussion already. I mean, at this point, I don't think I need to apologize for bringing up something that may have been talked about once or twice...

It beats this guy.... "why don't Wade just meet with the boss"

I've got a balled spot on my head and a handful of hair in my hand from the last time someone posted with that subject...ive counted, there's been 441 threads started with that subject lol

Brother, I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Nothing will come from any of this false smoke about Wade or the football program. The NCAA won’t come down on us, or the FBI (obviously). Our entire athletic department is going to be fine, basketball and football at least regarding the NCAA. Our basketball program could be in for some trouble if our administration fricks up this situation even more. It would be on our administration and no one else.

I hope the downvotes are because that guy isn't rite.
I don't remember what happened to Penn states basketball program after they were hit with lack of institutional control... If we get the same thing they did, then it won't be as bad as what Penn state got infootball.penalty wise... It's a wide range of options for punishment for that charge though... They do what they want...

Reminds me of cartmen on south park..."whateva ,Ima do what I want" lol in a chicks voice...

To be clear I realize Penn State was punished for football, I asked bout there basketball program because it's the other main sport. Very similar in that regard... But way worse offense. If there basketball program didn't get anything from the football teams loic, then we already know for a fact, thatwe're good In the other main sports

I mean, I like Wade too, alot. I just don't understand how you can say it's just smoke... He's gonna lose his job man, some of us need to be realistic.. I'm sorry, but a fbi wiretap that says, I offered him more then the league minimum is extremely damning as of rite now..

Hope it changes, I just have a hard time thinking he has something that he's holding back to clear his name..

Above is one thing that I don't feel good about... If he was sitting on info to clear his name then I don't care what he has to do at court.if he could then He would clear his name and be back ,if he had that info.

No lawyer is gonna advise you to get yourself fired, I'm sorry I don't think it works that way..

Your an idiot. that little snippet that was released on Wade has Wayyyyyyy less evidence than the bidding war for Zion that was also caught on tape.......

Y’all need to remember........the NCAA itself CLEARED Smart.....so throw that “strong offer” shite out the window.

Pearl still hasn’t had a sit down with Auburn with the NCAA present, amd he was shunned for years.......

How do people not see this?

I believe when Wade said in the very beginning (I paraphrase) don't judge me until the whole story comes out.

Why would Wade say that or anything close to that unless he knows something?

If Dawkins pleads out before the trial next month Wade or anyone else will not even have to appear.

Even if Dawkins doesn’t plead out and the trial happens, it is highly unlikely Wade will have to testify anyway, as he is irrelevant to the case. That’s the whole reason the defense team leaked this stuff to Yahoo to being with ... because it probably won’t be admitted at trial, hence Wade can’t/won’t be called.

That doesn’t solve the problem entirely for Wade, though. I’m not sure what can/will be turned over to NCAA one the trial is over and FBI is done with case.

I don’t think LSU should have suspended him, but nonetheless I don’t see this ending well for Wade. IMO it’s gotten to where it’s all about whether LSU will have to pay the buyout or not and when. And obviously the whole situation has become a political event with people trying to use this sutuation to make administration changes above Wade.

At this point, Wade’s best bet is probably to let it play out, hope there’s nothing more to come or new issues, and either get reinstated or paid the buyout because LSU doesn’t have bulletproof cause.

Has anyone else been caught doing bad things in 1 sport and the entire department is sanctioned?

Michigan State, Baylor, Penn State and UNC have done some fricked up shite. I don't think all athletic programs were crippled at those schools.
