Thank you for the BPB, and for all the effort you put in during the baseball season. We appreciate it.

Does the West come down to LSU and Mississippi State next season? Looks like UF will be the preseason favorite next year?

No problem. I suppose Rabbit made a good call when he nominated me as his successor 3 years ago. It's been fun.

Does it seem like ESPN's Dari Nokwah is a little giddy that Florida won? Does he still harbor ill feelings from the '04 BCS title game?

Felt like it at least deserved a conference before the call was upheld

Just one of those plays that you can't argue as the rule clearly states. I think if he had at least made an effort to hook the bag with his foot it would have been fine.

One other play disturbed me early in the game when we attempted to double up FL on a ground ball to Freeman with a runner on 1st.. As I recall Freeman who had an easy pitch to Kramer for the attempt at a double play. However, FL player ran to 2nd in an "arc" that prevented Freeman from making the pitch to Kramer so was forced to throw to first, thus circumventing the possible double play.

Now if the interference rule states you are on a base and a ball is hit you must go directly to the bag and if you deviate from that to break up a double play, you are auto-out. Yet by "intent" on the same play a runner can "intentially" take a path in an arc to shield the 2nd baseman from throwing to 2nd to initiate the double play. I thought the rule says you have to run directly on a line from 1st to 2nd???

The FL runner did this intentionally to shield Freeman's throw to Kramer...maybe smart base running, but just as egregious rule infraction.

IMHO

Pap comeback player of the year.

Dups! Great player that shows up every game just about.

Watson rips the ball, inserted into the line up and didn't let up.

Well deserved honors.

Both are against the rules and one was called and the other was not. Just a shame really. LSU made a lot of mistakes but.. hell of a season and it was a fun ride

And now the worst time of the year for sports begins

I was all in for the win, but this makes it even worse, having a 2 month wait until a meaningful LSU sporting event

GREAT season! Can't complain when you are in the final two playing for a natty championship. Best of luck to the players moving on, and to those returning...
Come to work, come to win in 2018! Plenty of GOOD, young talent on this roster that needs to bulk up and continue to improve their games. With the addition of a few new arms and bats, we'll be back soon...very soon!
