Florida at 6-1 would win the SECE vs a 6-2 Tennessee if A&M and Alabama beat Tennessee as expected.

Not playing this game increases their chances of winning the division.

Correct, us not playing is a "win" for them by not being a loss.

Us not playing is a "loss" because we control our own destiny but not if this game isnt played.

This hurricane will curve 360 degrees after it hits Florida this weekend and looks like it is coming around for another landfall on Florida next Wed-Thursday.

Trying to play a football game in Florida is dumb. There are more important things to worry about. LSU has moved a game to Arizona State for this same reason. It happens.

If the SEC allows this game not to be played, heads should roll. Sankey and all the top brass should be fricking fired on the spot. This couldn't have been handled in a worse fashion.

Yes, but the head coach shouldn't get to make decisions about when to play a game based on his depth chart. That's why the SEC should be making fair and reasonable decisions.

UF is a money machine for the SEC...highly unlikely Birmingham is going to cross UF.

The more this drags on UF will not get out...which is the point...Any sane person knows due to the State of Emergency, local and state resources, law enforcement and 1st responders are not going to be available, power will be out and FP&L is notorious for dragging their asses...UF played their con to near perfection

We don't control our own destiny. If Auburn wins out, we can't win the West.

It's not the point. UF had every opportunity to get out of Gainsville and play LSU virtually anywhere...St Pete, Tallahassee, Mobile, New Orleans...But McElwain showed his hand yesterday...UF knows they cant beat LSU, anywhere, so UF are using the hurricane to obfuscate and get a cancellation...it serves to get UF a gut shot draw to Atalnta, by having one less loss than Tennessee, after losses to TAMU and BAMA

Not a forfeit. A cancellation. They will act like they did everything within their power to make the game happen but the weather forced the cancellation.
Thats pretty chicken shite on their part but very true

Coach O needs to drive to Keesler Air Force Base, commandeer a hurricane Hunter, fly to the swamp, land just outside the stadium, and round all the Florida team up like cattle into the plane, fly back to BR, land on Nicholson, and tell them to get the hell into TS before he breaks both shrimp boots off in their asses!!

Just for what it's worth , my niece, who is a Gator alum , sd she I flying in from Memphis today to Tallahassee to go to the game, and the game will be in Fla, just possibly a night game to give the hurricane a chance to clear the area.
