Sure it would be easier for LSU to not have to play UF every year, but I for one am glad they do. Since 2001 (once Spurrier left) this has become a great series with great games.

Yep, I had that copy of SI framed with my student ticket stub in the bottom corner...I think it's in storage...

Cedric was amazing in that game, but Chris Cummings was the unsung hero. He covered his WR like a blanket consistently, and when Duh-Doug did throw at him, he refused to allow a complete pass.

I don't think anyone was able to get that grass to root...

Yep.

I wore a long-sleeve shirt under my LSU tee till we started baking. I have a pic of 4 of us with the half-face sunburn, hungover at 3pm...

I remember grabbing grass off the field and looking up and seeing the goal posts being passed around the stands!

They passed around a Xerox copy of a "reasons we can beat Florida" too in the student section. All and all...great times! I really don't remember the game, just yelling as loud as I can for 3 hours.

Not only was I there, my wife sat behind Faulk in math class. I talked her into bringing 3 of the SIs in to get signed (I wanted 10 but she thought that was too much). Girl next to her gave him 25 to sign and he signed them all. Lost mine in Katrina but my father-in-law gave me back the one I gave him.

Best LSU game I have ever attended.

It was electric.

I've never felt that exact same feeling. Close, but not the same.

In 99 when Spurrier came back, we had a different coach and we were coming off a bad year.

His wedding was the night of an LSU-Florida home game?

How did the people running against him not use this info in the slander campaigns?

I was there. I was 7 years old and I remember it well. I was crying in the nosebleeds because my dad wouldn't let me run on the field. I had set the game to record on an old VHS tape before I left just in case, and boy was I happy about that one.

I have that signed copy of the Kevin Faulk cover framed in my bedroom too.

This is my first choice as top game in TS, especially since I was a student and got to be sitting w so many friends.

2007 UF is number 2. Bama 12 would've supplanted both if not for a damn Bama miracle.

This will be my only game in TS this year and my first since expansion and to see LF. Two undefeated SEC big 6 schools at night--what more can I die hard wish for? I suppose the Tigers putting down a shutout would be epic.

But I'll take a 1pt victory in this one.

PS-on the way to work this am I heard a guy call in to Sirius radio show saying the gators were gonna expose LSU and win by 17! I almost crashed my car laughing. NO ONE BEATS Miles at night in TS by 17 ever.

Herb Tyler over the right side for a 10 or 11 yard TD in the 4th qtr. I did not sit down for the whole 4th qtr in my living room.

Sat with my sister in the UF parents section. Her son was playing left guard blocking booger (double teamed every snap with the center). We just knew UF would bounce back. My sister cried on the way home (Haha). First time she had seen UF lose.

Always enjoy the LSU / UF games regardless of who wins. It's a great series.
