My absolute favorite game ever attended in Death Valley. I turned 21 that night, it was amazing. Chapj3 thanks for the memories brother.
That's wild, so did one of my good friends. Same birthday.

George vs. LSU in 2003 is hard to top. That was the best day game i ever attended in Tiger Stadium.

Things are too corporate now at LSU, the Gameday experience will not be that of the past... but honestly it's what you make of it.
To an OG you will see it as way to commercialized, but that's just keeping up with the times....
Still enjoy bringing the kids and letting them soak up Saturdays in BR

This is how good it was:
Me and a good friend were there.
The fans ran out on the field at the end of the game. We were 13 rows up, drunk as Cooter Brown and on the field seconds after the game ended. We immediately ran up to Spurrier yelling “frick Florida. “. Im not saying he was scared of me and my friend. But multiply that by 10,000 drunk students on the field and absolutely you could see the fear in his eyes.
I guarantee you, if you were to ask Spurrier today, I think it will be a vivid memory and probably feared for his life.
But, what I will always remember this game by:
My ex wife references my behavior prior to, but definitely including this game, is what caused her to file for divorce.
She finally had enough of my shite.

We were tailgating that day and discussing what it would take to get the upset. A gust of wind picked up and blew the tree limbs over us and I jokingly said maybe a couple of passes will get floated in this wind and we can pick off a couple.
Baton Rouge was crazy that night. Cops were still directing traffic at Highland and State near 1 am. Some drunk LSU fan in nothing but purple boxers came running down Highland with a giant LSU flag. The cops stopped traffic to let him run right through.
Speaking of 2007 - took my neighbor to that one (his first LSU game). He still talks about it to this day in an almost religious reverence. I didn't see him for 3 days after. His wife just kept saying he hadn't recovered yet.
That day in Baton Rouge was the peak of tailgating culture before all the restrictions were put in place.

I really hate how much the crowd volume is turned down on broadcasts now. You can still hear the commentary just fine in this video so it’s unnecessary IMO.

I was there with a great friend (and our wives). Still have the ticket stub. North end zone Section 40, Row T.
It’s what Tiger Stadium is all about!!

I loved that configuration of Tiger Stadium. Wish they had never done anything more with it. That capacity of just at basically 80,000 was sort of perfect, for both in-game and outside tailgating/traffic purposes.

I didn't remember us being ranked 14th
A lady my mom worked with at the time, her son was at LSU. She went ballistic the next morning thinking he left pot on the counter. It was turf from the field.

Uga 03 best day game ever
The Fla game in 19 was cool
Bama in 22 was a good one
Fla in 2007 and 1997 were both legit
I sat through some pretty damn fun games in the 80s

Spurrier owned LSU like no other coach (except maybe Nolan Richardson at Arkansas). Not only did he beat us routinely but he ran the score up as much as possible for leaving him at the airport for the LSU job interview. His 58-3 drubbing of us in '93 was our worst loss ever (was there and it wasn't even that close). This is why this game was so special and the night was so wild.
