LSU made all the right moves today.

So when the amped-up money starts flowing back in, guess who gets credit?

Yup, “the special assistant to the president for donor relations“.

As long as Alleva picks up FKing on his way out of town I'll be thrilled.

It’s a job title to keep his worthless arse working 9-5 everyday rather than paying him to leave and getting nothing until next year when his contract expires.

It’s actually freaking smart compared to LSU decisions of the past.......

This ties the fate of Alleva and FKing together even more closely than before...

Another poster earlier alluded to this being a multifaceted strategic move to tie the two at the hip, setting the stage to make it easier to get rid of both down the road.

I am trying to think of a made up title for F. King Alexander after we give him the boot.

I am just not comfortable giving him even a fictional position like “Special Assistant to the Board for Oak Tree Preservation” or “Assistant Chancelor of Freshman Experiences”.

With Alleva and hopefully Alexander out, I could start donating to LSU again.

The BOS had pressure to make a move on Alleva in a large part due to the masses refusing to continue to let go of their $$$. FKing is appointed by the governor so to make JBE uncomfortable it will take the threat of lack of votes in the next election, not lack of donations to LSU athletics.

Very Very Smart. It is how big corporations deal with failures, they make them less and less meaningful till they quit out of the humiliation.

It will be fun to see how long it takes him to leave

Of course you have to have Self Respect to leave

Joe will not get credit for anything. No one will give money to LSU based upon the specific actions of Joe Alleva.

He was placed in the “fundraising” position as a parking spot on his way out the door. The money owed Joe, based upon his contract, is a fixed and known amount the school/boosters are willing to pay to rid the institution of him.

Alexander is a dead man walking in his position as well. The timing of his departure is less clear, but the die is cast and he will be pushed out as well.

Alleva may be a good employee when hes not in charge. Of course, he needs a 675,000k pay cut.

If that we’re true—and it ISN’T—why would JBE be so invested in retaining a Jindal appointee?

F--King was appointed by Jindal. I'm hoping JBE will replace him after the dust settles on the Alleva matter.

The president is not appointed by the governor. Jesus I wish you people would at least do a bit of research before making stupid statements.
