From 2001 on in TS the crowd would rattle the opposing QB and literally take him out the game. The last home game against Auburn that did not happen. Maybe it was because of the rain or what not. Hopefully Tiger Stadium will be 2003 day game Georgia drunk and loud.

Should be a great atmosphere. Some of the great home games have been against Florida since 1997.

Didn't Chris Leak (UF) beat us as a first-year starter in our 2003 Championship year?

Always might have been a mistake. 90% of the time would be better.

PASSING: Georgia-Q. Carter 27-34-0-318

1998 Quincy Carter says hi.

Seriously, there's a Jacksonville news article linked to espn's SEC blog that discusses Florida qb's and their first time Tiger Stadium success.

I dunno if I would say always. Chris Leak came in to TS 2 weeks after that UGA game and beat us as a true freshman.

I think Croyle did in '02 as a 1st year starter but he may have been a RS freshman and not a true freshman.

ETA: Nevermind, Watts was the starter and Croyle was the backup.

Tyler Murphy aims to join club of Gators QBs who have found success at LSU

ETA: Just linking the article mentioned above. I know it goes back further than the timeframe you referenced.
