Yikes.

High expectations up in this fan base.

Although if Florida is going to lose, hopefully it is to a team I don't hate like LSU. Much rather lose to LSU than Kentucky.

I hear Florida fans saying Gator Bait all the time so I don't think we can say anything, even if a Gator fan was offended by it.

To be honest, LSU might have a few more than other fan bases that come off as a-holes because people get offended by "Tiger Bait."

But even if you get offended by that, LSU has WAY more classy fans that go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself IMO.

I'll be really disappointed if we lose LSU as a permanent opponent. There just aren't any road trips to compare.

Great time in BR on Saturday

Besides the result and traffic, had a great time.

Had a group stop us to invite us to drink and eat with them, had a gentleman stop and ask how the trip was going/if people were treating us well, and had fans apologize for the few fans that embarrassed themselves.

Can't wait to head back in 2015.

I think we will be getting there around 10-11 am. Does that change things?

Where to exit I-10/park tomorrow?

Just realized I'm going in blind. Thanks fellas.
This thread is hilarious.

I'm literally laughing out loud at my desk.

This is why you get the frick off other teams boards. You are lost.

You're very angry.

I'm not shocked that you don't sense the sarcasm

Normally sarcastic posts are funny-ish. Must have missed it.

Why is it that every time we play Florida at home its a day game and not at night????

2007 and 2009 were both night games at least.
If anyone believes your post, I'd be pretty shocked.

re: How good is this Gators team?

The Miami game Gators are not these Gators (offensively). The dominant defense (besides one busted play) is pretty much the same.

Our offense isn't amazing now, but it is much improved with Murphy under center.

we've been ridiculously good on 3rd downs this yr. tied for 3rd in the nation.

Then that should be interesting. We're #2 in the country in 3rd Down % Defense.
We have the personnel to run man and run it effectively. LSU will get its points because it is a good offense, but Florida will definitely frustrate LSU for stretches of the game.

Anything on 3rd and 8 or longer and we bring 6 or 7 and almost never get beaten. LSU is a new test though. Should be interesting. Strength vs. Strength.
I'm in the same situation. I just ordered a Utah Utes rolling cooler

Hopefully I can peel the logo off.
Tigers 27
Gators 21

LSU hits a couple big play-action passes on our aggressive D and it is too much to overcome.
Danngggggg it. That will reduce the fun of this road trip.
Florida didn't stomp on the eye in 2009.

Florida's tradition to end the pre-game warm-ups is a punt toward midfield and the players swarm the punt returner and get psyched up before heading into the locker room. The punt in 2009 went far enough that they were at/kind of on the eye, but if you consider that stomping on the eye then we stomped on the Florida "F" nearly every home game under Meyer too.
Thanks again guys. Sounds like it should be a good time!
Thanks for the invites and advice fellas!

Keep em coming if you have them!

I'd make a big arse drink in like 32 oz cup then put the rest in one of those big plastic flasks you can get at gas stations and throw it in your back pocket

Carrying around a handle would be fine but if you do get stopped it would be hard to argue your case with a handle of Beam in your hand.

Yea that sounds like a pretty good plan. I'd be pretty disappointed if I had to throw away a handle.

Strictly no glass containers as noted here. The large plastic cups from a Circle K type store and a large flask works best. Coming from N.O I'd take La. 30 ..get off on the right side of I-10 and then drive under it...and 30 will lead you straight to the stadium/campus. Drive down as far as you can and/or you hit the barracades for private parking, U turn & park your car facing back the way you came....and just walk towards the stadium You will find all the tailgating food & drinks you can handle. If a 2 pm game, 7-8 am is not too late. A 6-7 kickoff, 11 is not too early.

Okay thanks. I definitely want to get there early enough to experience it all, but I guess if we aren't tailgating and are just walking around with drinks it probably isn't a big deal if we don't park really close.
Yea liquor will be best I think. It'd be fine to carry around a handle? Or should I pour that into something else.

Are y'all College guys or what age range? Thatll have some effect on where you want to go

Just out. 24 and 25 years old.

nobodys going to get you for open container. Are you from Florida coming to Baton Rouge?

Yea. Driving to NOLA Thursday afternoon and staying in NOLA all weekend, obviously except game day.
quote:

No, Gainesville PD will not be there so you can carry your drink around.

This was the worry basically. They suck.
Yea it is just two of us so I think it might be more fun to walk around and just drink and experience it all. Just didn't want an open container to ruin the day.
How early do I need to get there to be able to park close enough that we aren't tailgating by ourselves?

And what is the open container policy? Thanks.
