Before the game I told the crowd i was with that there would be an important call that the refs would wrongly call in Bama's favor. When they went to the review, I bet any takers in the room that they would call the play incomplete. Everyone was yelling "it's a done deal, we have the ball! No way they call incomplete."
I'll pay everyone in this room $100 that takes the bet, says I, if they give us the ball. NO ONE took me up.
The SEC was not going to let Bama get beat that year.
