Real season starts this weekend. Torina’s teams have been awful in Lexington so we’ll see how that goes…

ULL has always been a Top 12~18 ranked program usually finishing with 50 W's and flirting with the CWS in recent years. Currently they have the #1 SOS and have played the following schools: #1 OU, #2 Texas, #10 Standford, #17 Baylor #23 Miss St, #24 Cal. Their SOS will obviously fall once they start SBC play, but I expect them to stay around 15.
re: LSU - I believe this is the first time in school history softball is ranked #1. (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Would be great to finish what they started and claim the WCWS .... still a long way to go.

Losing Coffey is giant loss offensively, she really was consistent table setter. But I guess this means McKee will have to grow up quicker
But I agree with the other posts, LSU will need to up their game when we get to KY. We historically have not done well down there but hopefully that changes this time.

its not a real ranking, its RPI
No team is gonna be ranked 14 in the real polls having a record like that.

see my post above about ULL's SOS .... The RPI ranking is based on who they beat and who they played, not so much W/L record. ULL has to schedule the top ranked teams every year before conference play to boost their SOS. The SBC teams will cause their SOS to drop. LSU is 19-0 and played 16 Home games. Only 1 team was ranked: Okie Sta at #6. LSU's game vs. #4 Wash was cancelled due to weather. I'm hoping the is LSU's year to win it all since prior years have been a let down.
