I plan to make an away game to each SEC stadium starting this year but the SEC thing changed when she bought these tickets! I'll start visiting the SEC stadiums starting next year I guess!!!

Don't think I'll be upset bout my first away game not being in a SEC stadium! This should trump that!

Have fun!

There will be a certain segment of Wisconsin fans (as with all northern fan bases) that literally still believe all southern stereotypes and that we all have alligators as pets and no indoor plumbing.

We went though that in Houston in '14, along with Katrina insults and Civil War references (they are keeping alive the Civil War more than Southerners!)
They also comically believe that the whole South is ONE state, and everyone is the same all the way across. Truly bizarre.....

Just ignore them. I'm sure there'll be some nice ones.

I've been to Arky @ Little Rock, Ole Miss, Moo St., Auburn, Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Fla. Most away experiences were pretty good as LSU travels well. Usually no shortage of tailgates to attend. Ar-Kansas was THE worst by far of all the away places to go, not just because War Memorial was rickety, but the people were trashy. Many fights broke out after the game. I still haven't been to Fayetteville, but I guess my SEC circuit wouldn't be complete without that one.

I'll say this, most fans for the other team don't talk to much shite before the game as they are afraid of getting their asses whipped during the game. Definitely some ribbing is to be expected, but don't take anything personally and you'll be ok. Now if we loose.....your mom will likely get cussed out on the way out. It's just how it is. From the UW game in Houston a few years ago, the Wisky fans can hang pretty well with the drinking, but their idea of tailgate food is terrible.

GB should be a fun time.

I have been to a UW home game before. Those folks can drink with any of the heavyweights down south. They as a fan base can be hostile during the game (I've seen them throw snowballs at their own cheerleaders), but they aren't known for their loudness. For the most part they are polite outside of it, so it should be fun interacting with them.

My first game outside TS was the SEC championship in 2001. All those Tennessee guys with orange roses crying after the game :)

SEC road trips are the best but Lambeau will be exhilarating.

Just take it all in, I find road trips more enjoyable than home games at times as you take in a new setting with fellow fans.

I've been to all SEC venue except Missouri and Vanderbilt, and to many of LSU's bowl games. I figure you can expect better than most of those games as there will be a shitload more LSU fans in Wiscy than in an average away game. Lot of houses in GB being rented for tailgate parties, lots of HUGE setups. I'm thinking it should be different than anything I've been to yet!

From my knowledge and friends from up there the locals should be friendly. Bring lots of these!!!!

I'm old. My first away game experiences were as a student going to Jackson, MS, for the Ole Miss/MSU games.
