I’d much rather play our schedule like this:

A&M and Auburn in September.

Ole Miss and Florida in October

Bama in November.

All the rest sprinkled in there.

I wish we played Bama in late September or early October. They are beatable then due to all the new faces, but by the time we play them in Nov. they are veterans.

THAT IS WHY Little Nicky and the Bama Alumni ASSociation (SEC Offices) schedule it they way they do.

The 1995 game I felt like I was watching game from Mercury. Hottest experience of my life. It was brutal. I believe it was 118-120 on the field.

I've always felt it's great for team morale and energy to have a big game at the beginning of the season.

You can do this out of conference, which is much more interesting. We had Texas in 2019, UCLA in the rose bowl this year. Give me that instead of the same opponent every year. Why make everything so routine?

They quickly forget how hot TS is in September, day or night.

I prefer a warmup game at least to get the rust off and kinks out.
The other team is also getting the rust off and kinks out, so it balances out if you are (You're) playing another SEC team like A & M in the opener.......

Back in the day when we opened with A&M, it was usually an easy win.
