So change your profile to where it says something other than "LSU Fan". And choose some handel other than "bayoubengal"

Stop listening to objective analysis?
this is the first time I've heard pre season press predictions called objective, much less analysis.
I consider myself very objective and I see no evidence that the program is being run into the ground. what I see is a segment of posters (debatable that they are all LSU fans) that are hyper critical and interpret all things about our program as negatives.
imo, it was Miles that was allowing the program to slide (granted he was great for awhile) by putting his personal feelings for John Chavis and Cam Cameron above the interests of the program. Orgeron is at least trying to improve the program by recruiting the trenches and QB's and adding analysts. he may not be the answer but that is yet to be determined.
in the meantime, I believe true fans of Louisiana State University should support him, his staff and our players as much as possible. I think it very poor to openly support firing a coach after his first year (except for ethical reasons) and surely does not help the program at all. I really wanted Fisher to be our coach but that is over and I want us to win.

I have to agree with you, GrandDad. I'm rooting hard for my LSU to have a bigtime season. A man without hope is essentially dead.

Really? Not looking forward to what should be a very high level D wreaking havoc on opponents? A shite ton of offensive skill players who may finally get to shine? shite, baw, we even got a 1-season rental FG kicker to help win some games. Seriously though, I am looking forward to watching this team. The guys have great attitudes and at some point this team is going to return to higher level play and start putting up more quality W's. I would even like to see Lowell get some snaps every game....

This season is the first in a LONG time that we HAVE a chance to be an exceptional team. W
Based on what? The defense---maybe. The QB? he hasn't taken a snap at LSU and hasn't played significant, crunch time snaps ever. The RBs? Who the hell knows if any of them can be the man. The OC? The man hasn't been hired as an OC in twenty years.
Exceptional team? I wish, but NOTHING says that in any way.
I always am eager for football. We will see what happens, but I haven't seen exceptional since 2011 and I don't think we see it this year either.

Defense will be very good to great. Offense? But, if QB and OC turn out to be good then we are riding.

I mean.. it's LSU football. How can a fan not be excited about the season?
when you're a worthless POS and want to project your misery onto everyone around you.....that's how you wind up not excited about the season.

For the first time in my life that I am more looking forward to basketball than football. I really like Will Wade and think he has LSU headed in the right direction.

What an insufferable pussy you are

I am the exact opposite. This is the first time since maybe 2012 that I have been very excited for LSU football. I just have a gut feeling this team is special. We are a young team and I think a year away from a National Championship, but I think we turn the corner this season and beat Bama and go 11-2 with a NY6 Bowl win.

In what world, OP, could anyone be apathetic about a season with the best assistant coach in college ball on defense leading what can be top five LSU defense ever and in the country this year; a transfer QB molded by urban Meyer to lead a relative air raid offense which our admittedly old OC has personally developed/implemented at the NFL level; and the chance to either shoot to the stratosphere where we belong or move in the promoting Dave aranda?

Besides Joe Burrow, how is any of that really that much different than this time last year?

I totally 100% agree! With that I still support LSU FOOTBALL just not those unqualified losers!

The defense should be even that much better.....for one thing.
last year is last year......for another.
If Burrow has any kind of pulse and sees the field...this will be a major upgrade for the offense and the QB position...the likes of which we havent seen since Mett....lastly.

Sucks for you. Sorry that I will NEVER be able to relate to tht feeling...

Ok, but there was this hot shot OC last year with a senior at QB and 2 seniors and both RB and WR. This year the whole offense is unproven and we have no idea how good the OC is going to be. Potential? Off the charts. Proven, tangible things to point to on offense? Very little.
At this point, the hype machine has been in overdrive and some people act like it's all fact or that it's different than stuff we've heard before.

Some people see the Danny Etling experiment as a success. I'm not one of them. Couldn't win the big games, therefore of no use to me.
