Going to enjoy bookmarking this and watching the reactions. You just can't see the forest through the trees.

Woodward tried to hire Jimbo before BK and O'Sullivan before Johnson. I don't want him making another football hire.

Woodward’s problem isn’t the average fan.
His problem is he made a huge deal with a coach that wasn’t his first or even second choice and he has to turn to boosters to bail him out.
That’s the ones that have to go to bat for him and I think there is some fatigue on that front.

While I don’t like Gov. Landry inserting himself into this, he’s absolutely right that Brian Kelly should be fired—and if he also plans to remove Woodward, I’m behind him on that too. Woodward and his decision to hire Kelly both belong to a bygone era. Remember, Woodward handed Kelly that outrageous contract with zero consideration for how NIL was changing college football. It was reckless, shortsighted, and ultimately allowed Kelly and his agent, Trace Armstrong, to take LSU football—and the university—for a very expensive ride.

They gave Jimbo a raise aftet the initial hire, so up to the point when Woodward left, A&M viewed it as a success

Woodward was always vastly overrated—just another example of that overhyped Catholic High pedigree.

He made Jimbo Fisher the highest paid coach.

Your opinion is noted, but just like me, you don't get a vote. Word has it his ouster is already in the works.

Appreciate it. I'm aware. That's unfortunate.

Anyone think the same or similar wasn’t happening here?

He’s destroyed one program, almost destroyed another and turned us into a girls basketball school. Awesome.

Coaches in non-revenue sports. Johnson wasn’t even the first choice and Mulkey already had ties here and had had enough at Baylor. Aside from those falling in his lap, he’s been awful.

Ahhh got it. Everything good he has done has "fell in his lap", and everything bad is really just on him. Clowns.

I think it depends on what direction we want to go with this hire. Do we want to go and find a guy who is flying under the radar that can then make a big jump here? Then fire Scott. He's not the person to make that hire.
Do we want to go find and established coach that's proven he can win and just pay him a shite ton of money to make him leave his current job? Then, Scott is the guy.
It wouldn't make sense to keep him and hire some unproven coach with potential. And it wouldn't make sense to fire him and then go hire Kiffin, Lanning, etc.
