So we fire our coach mid season and promote the interim coach as full time coach and expect a good program.
Firing O mid season and hiring Aranda from within is a bone head move and to do it twice in a row is even dumber than dumb and dumber.
O is our coach until he is not our coach and hopefully he retires 8 years from now with a few SEC West titles and a few appearances in the playoffs. If not then we fire him and fire our AD then find a good coach. Not Aranda promotion from within.
This coaching process is not rocket science and once again I will say me personally would have never hired O and also would have not hired Jimbo. What every good college program has to have is great recruiting and depth with no holes. I will give O credit in that he filled most of the gaps and this team is not that bad and should win some games.
The 2nd half offense has been anemic the first two games and we are all disappointed but if we beat Auburn we should start off 6-0

The first two drives, and I know they had field position, is what I think is the LSU offense. I am not sure what was the game plan after that. The last drive of the half the oline blocked and we passed again. The hail Mary was what rantards crave in a half ending play. No kneeling.
The defense yielded a lot of yards but mostly between the 20's. That number 10 made a bunch of yards on his ability alone.
Most want a fully dominate team and in time LSU might become that. Give the qb some time and the line at full strength I think it will come sooner than later.

FWIW .. my understanding is that Aranda and Canada also hated each other. You can frick with Orgeron but leave Dave alone.

I guess my point is, if you're going to get rid of Canada, hire someone who is proven at developing and scouting offenses. Ensminger isn't qualified, and the fact still remains that no other major program would've considered his resume. He needs to produce, and he hasn't so far. The defense won both of these games.

I disagree. I really don't have a problem with firing Canada. His offense was gimmicky and really not that effective, IMO.
It was the hiring of Ensminger that is what Orgeron should be judged on.

Please make it stop. Don’t understand the love for Canada. Doesn’t matter if he was the best mind in the game (he isn’t ) he was a cancer in the staff and was by most accounts causing huge problems not just on the offensive side but with Aranda and the defensive side also. There is a reason he never stayed on one staff for long. LSU better off without him.

I was no fan of Canada. I think his offense is fine for a team that has to compensate for having less talent than their opponents (Pitt, Maryland). The issue was he should have never been hired to begin with. A competent head coach would have said “I’m impressed by what you’re accomplished Matt, but I just don’t think you’re a fit for LSU”, and than go on to hire a good OC.
But we don’t have a competent head coach so we got that shite show and ended up with the E and O show. So while Bama and Moo St. was having their way with their cupcakes using their third string, and we were counting on Hail Mary’s to generate offense.

Exactly. All you Canada dickriders, you probably should figure out if you liked him more than Aranda because there’s not a chance Aranda sticks around if Canada stayed here. Not a single player or coach liked that a-hole.
