How is it we have a new head coach, new offensive coordinator, and dozens of players have come and gone but the end product hasn't changed in 10 years.

Nope...frick Canada and his gimmick offense. That shite gets shut down by good SEC defenses. We finally have a pro style offense again.

Was that offense that put up 0 against Alabama at home a pro-style?

Matt wont be at Maryland in 2 years. It's his MO.

He's a HC now. He may be their HC moving forward. Not sure if it will be a quick stepping stone or not.

All true, but he knew that going in. It would be about like me complaing about grading papers all weekend. I knew it going in so if I have an issue it's on me. Lastly, he didn't arrive the day before BYU. Were there issues before then, maybe. The game plan that day didn't indicate that to me though. At any rate, he is gone. O and Emsminger have a chance to put a skin on the wall. With the suspensions and injuries on the O line they have a legit issue. To be fair, I haven't heard them used that as a crutch (I may be wrong...but I really don't recall that narrative at all from the staff). A win on the road at Auburn would be impressive. I picked us to go 10-2 with one of the losses being Auburn. I hope I'm wrong. Let's see what we do.

I agree, Saturday will clear the air, some. My point about picking his assistants is important, imv. When he wasn't teaching his players, he was teaching his assistants how and what to teach. Any OC worthy his salt would have the say on his starter.

But you're correct, and he was paid well for his trouble.

Honestly, you think O will ever win an SEC championship? Not even asking playoff game.

We want LSU to contend for championships. I don't feel O has been honest whatsoever, which doesn't help his case. None of it matters if we win though. He has an opportunity to prove us all wrong this season.

There's just not enough consistency with him and I feel there will always be a limited ceiling. He is benefiting, just as most coaches would, from an already established LSU team. The team he took over during his interim season was essentially a 10 win program because of the cancelled game.

I just feel we are limited with O. Even if he was to win say 10 games this year.. I can't see him truly competing in prep for an SEC championship, a playoff game, or a championship. Of course we want LSU to win.. We'd love to eat crow.

I actually felt LSU would beat Miami with ease. We are bigger and more talented. I want to see how LSU responds against bigger and more talented teams from a scheming standpoint. This has been the concern. AU is a wonderful test. And don't give me the schedule is hard. Only difference now is UGA, but we get them at home. Last trip to AU we were 1 second away from beating them.

You're actually the one that doesn't give a damn about LSU if you support Orgeron's continued employment as HC.

The only place I've seen where Aranda demanded Canada to be fired is here from Tiger Ree. Tiger Ree may be right but I haven't seen that anywhere else.

Isn’t pro style offense for when you play teams with equal talent. Lsu’s Offensive line isn’t equal talent with bama and state defensive line so how can pro style work. Need gimmick to have a punchers change against mighty bama and state defensive lines.

If we get paired up with Maryland in a bowl, I hope Canada runs it up on Ed. Ed deserves it.

So you hope LSU loses. Got it. Go away.

I would think less of Aranda if that were true. Aranda would need to justify that threat.

bullshite. If O goes 6-6 this year or doesn't start competing for SEC Championship next year, I will be the first to say start looking for a replacement. But you negatigers don't ever want us to win, just to spite CEO.

YOU people are the problem.

Firing him was ok if we replaced him with someone who actually knows how to install a successful offense.

This is the correct answer.

Canada has a track record of success but he never stays anywhere for long.

O needed to replace him with someone who could build on what LSU had and make it better. Instead... well...

Firing Matt Canada was not necessarily the bone-headed move, replacing him with Ensminger was. Having said that, I believe our offense can improve greatly if the O-line gels. Unfortunately, that is a big IF at this stage.
