I feel there is a built-in reason because it makes sense to hold out Brennan for one more week if we have someone else competent to go. The next week we have a bye.

I feel win or lose we need to see if Finley can repeat the first performance. If he doesn’t, start Brennan after the bye.

If Brennan is ready to go he should go.

I cant help but have Brandon Harris vs Auburn flashbacks. In Jordan Hare too.

I think this thought has crossed everyone’s mind. Big difference is Harris played well in what was essentially garage time against State. He played so well he got us back in the game but state was already playing prevent.

Finley played well through a whole ballgame. The main thing though is the transfer rule if you pick the wrong one as Georgia did. If you have a good excuse of why to start Finley, you should.

BH was never capable of making the accurate and timely throws TJ made last week.

Start Max Johnson. Could be even better in game situations. Could suck. Trying it out makes sense.

Since Brennan's injury is still iffy, it makes sense to just go with Finley. Don't risk Brennan's injury and see what you have in Finley with a road game. A 2-game sample also shows you a hell of a lot more about what you have at QB. And based on what I saw against a decent SC defense, Finley appears to have all the tools to give LSU a fair shot at winning if the rest of the offense plays the way they did on Saturday.

I think it’s pretty obvious that Brennan is not playing this week.

I want Brennan fully healthy for Bama.

I want LSU to potentially ruin Bama's season.

Get him fully healthy.

I think either QB could put up some points on Bama (though we need to see what Finley can do a little more), but LSU needs to learn how to cover any long pass or any tight end of the field. Otherwise, Bama may never need to punt because they are excellent with long passes and hitting open guys that the D doesn't key on.

If Finley plays well and if we beat Auburn, he’ll be starting against Bama

And I think some of y’all are afraid of that happening for whatever reason

And an injured Brennan trying to play through pain at Auburn could give flashbacks of Jamie Howard at Jordan Hare. NOBODY wants to see that kind of performance again Auburn.

I know. I was being sarcastic. Because the fact that you actually want a guy who has not thrown a pass yet to start on the road against a decent team over a guy who just balled out is pretty unbelievable.

Why? It doesn’t matter what this board thinks. The coaches will start whomever they think gives LSU the best chance to win.

The only thing better than having a great QB is having 2 (or 3).

I want the best most healthy QB to beat Bama.

I despise Bama and the Bama refs with a passion.
