How about I make your "logic" into an Algebra equation...perhaps that will help.

Your first two examples would be this:

Player B replaces Player A for Team X and earns a victory

or

( X - A ) + B = VICTORY

Your third example is this:

Player C replaces Player B who replaced Player A and then earns a victory

or

( X - A - B ) + C = VICTORY

THATS A DIFFERENT EQUATION....so....clearly your question is illogical.

Also...following your logic...

Why not let Travis Dickson play QB in the game and see what he could do?

Could the outcome have been worse?

2007 Ryan Perriloux replaces Matt Flynn in the SEC championship game and LSU wins SEC Championship.

Uh...I think J. Zenon's interception returned for a touchdown was the difference in that game, not RP. And then a late interception by one of the DEs in dropped into coverage that saved the game. Flynn was hurt anyway, so it wasn't a substitution, as I recall.

Mauck is the backup and Davey got hurt. Perriloux was the backup and Flynn got hurt. Logic would say use Lee when Jefferson was not performing not Mett.

Lastly, did you see Bama's defense this year? Let's put a QB who has limited practice with the first team, has no rhythm or timing with the first team receivers into the biggest game of the year with minimal warm-up against what is arguably the best defense in the histroy of CFB(statistically).

Smart idea.....that's why you are on the rant board and not coaching LSU.

The only logical solution to JJ's play was to try Lee. Mett wasn't ready for that game and it would've been unfair to him to throw him in there as a sacrificial lamb. It was Bama's best game of the year. 0 turn overs, maybe 1 pentalty (0 going into the 4th qtr), McCarron was playing his best game ever, his WRs were making outstanding catches, and our offense blew chunks. The blocking was bad, the speed was at about 75% on every play, and the QB play was atrocious. It happens. Mett wasn't miraculously going to lead us to victory against Bama. Lee would've had a chance to spark us, but tbh, the OL was protecting well and I think Lee would've been sacked alot. I would've still tried it, but I don't think in the end it would've made a difference aside from helping all the fans feel like we did all we could.

On the rant? Really?

I was going to honestly answer until I read this:

quote:

.Why not insert him in the BCS game and see what he could do.

Could it possibly have been a worse outcome?

Do you weep openly everyday too? And continue to do so for the next 8 months?

I swear, within the last 3 weeks, some of our ''fans'' have rivaled Bama fans with this "well we deserve that" attitude. Some expect it to be handed to us.

Which brings me back to this:

Finish this logic question

LSU put in 10 plays for BCS like roll out pass down field for TDs with two WRs and extra protection of QB, did not use so lose BCS with no points. Worst loss for College Football Championship ever, incomprehensible!

it's pretty easy to pick out the ones that don't know a damn thing about football, isn't it?

Jarrett Lee......WINS! Miles screwed up and EVERYONE knows it. No way Mett was going to play or JL for that matter.

Looking forward to watching an LSU QB that can pass the ball AND continue to play in every game!
Go Tigers and Mett in 2012! LSU

You didn't do well in that logic class, did you? You really think that because the previous backups played well, it follows that Mett would've played well? If so, I'd really like to sell you some stuff I've got laying around my garage.
