That narrows it a lot.

Baker or Taylor?

(I assume you don't see Hatcher as a team leader.)

It is pretty amazing that ESPN was scrolling on the bottom of the screen how BCS officials were meeting to make changes to the BCS before the National Championship game even started. There were several articles written about how Bama being in the game virtually assured that changes were going to happen to the BCS:

Andy Staples
George Schroeder

And, ESPN did push for a rematch really, really hard.

i said that when alabama got into the title game.

there is no doubt in my mind that bama was the #2 team in the country, but i felt osu was more deserving than bama. bama had their shot and missed.

I don't think this has set in with people yet. We will get whatever playoff format ESPN says we get.

You're right. Things were in motion as soon as Bama got it. The meeting was set for Jan 10. The players have gotten the message that what they do on the field doesn't matter. There are other forces at play that will decide the champion. From 'every game counts' to 'what we decide counts.'

The tinfoil hat crowd is taking over this thread big time.

You think ESPN could pull some shite like that and expect a bunch of 18-22 year olds, assistant coaches, etc., not to say anything about it?

Makes sense something went down. Newspaper articles all week talking about clm seeming tense, not himself, body language on the sideline, total laydown. I hope it comes out and that the team can move on.

ESPN could destroy the program whether the accusation is true or not. Have you not been paying attention to the news media lately.

This thread has gotten out of control. While I agree that we looked flat and not the same team, there was no gunman on the grassy knoll.

Think about it. The refs called NO penalties. Alabama had the 'perfect' game. There was holding all over the place - as always - and there was only one holding foul? FWIW, LSU didn't even get called for many penalties.

We were completely demoralized and unnerved by Bama. That is what happened.

When you are embarrassed that bad, everyone's emotions get heated and people are looking to others to blame, so is is very possible there was a locker room scuffle or players calling out coaches etc.

A fix? Really? Come on people. I don't think this is even possible with the amount of people who would have to be involved. Plus, the line was only what, 2 points? Why would we have lost by that much.

Players going out the night before the game...that's possible. A fight over a girl or players going out, also possible, but not a damn fix.

Another conspiracy theory. Miles wan Erin was busted by Saban and Saban said if you lose, i won't tell your wife.

We got destroyed. That's it
