ETA: I listen to his show regularly. Very entertaining.
He has great guests - Pat Dye, Jim Donnan, Gene Stallings, Tim Brando are regulars.
And his callers would make Jerry Springer jealous.

Does Finebaum remind anyone of the skinny little fart at the gym wearing black dress socks with his gym shoes? You know, the one over there lifting the vinyl covered ladies dumbbells because that's all he can handle.

odd that that this post was started. I listened to finebaum today, and he was calling BR a cesspool..and I started thinking, trying to figure out his hatred also. I actually tried to call in but couldn't ...this was all before I read this post...I actually thought some of the same reasons that everybody on here came up with...his hatred of LSU and La in general is something personel...and I ageee it could be several of the reasons listed..the truth, we will probably never know, because he is not man enough to tell the truth...he lives in a different world that the rest of us....

Every single person he gets pissed off is another dollar in his pocket. It's a fun show about 80% of the time because you get to hear so many people say so much crap. It's like Jerry Finebaum...or maybe Paul Springer.

There might actually be something to be said about his being in the closet and his violent reaction.
Something unusual happened. It does sound like maybe he didn't want to be exposed about being gay and something about him being a homosexual was exposed or ridiculed.
This is what his rant sounds like. It's a violent reaction to being ridiculed.
What makes it even more obvious is the fact that he can't even be remotely gracious in victory.
His hammering and wanting to bury 'all things Louisiana' sounds like it may be something to do with him being 'exposed' about his being gay.

I'm not a gay basher. Trust me.....I'm not. But I'd be curious to know from anyone that is now out of the closet how they once felt in the past before coming out about almost being 'outed' before they wanted to be outed.
It seems this is the obvious reaction from someone who desperately didn't want to be exposed and were found out and ridiculed. I'm saddened by the fact that this may have happened to him if this is indeed what may have occurred.
Of course this is just opinion and speculation on my part but seeing this almost obsessive and compulsive reaction from him these past years it does seem to be obvious his deep seated hatred is based on something sexual. I'm not an expert but something has touched him off and it consumes him almost on a daily basis.
He has ridiculed almost everybody and all other teams including Alabama throughout his career but his clear obsession with LSU trumps his other insults. Maybe his other attacks are an attempted diversion to maybe not expose him to his real deep seated hatred and psychological hatred toward Louisiana but it's obviously not disguised enough.

you guys are over analyzing this idiot. He is the hired gun for the gump team. Like all gumps when saban was hired the first thing they had to do was to claim all credit for what saban had done at LSU and to tear down what miles had done and claim it as sabans. they want our fan base second guessing miles and his success. As I said many times before, they know LSU and Les Miles is the biggest obstacle in there way from dominating the western division.
