Finebaum and his hatred for LSU

It's obviously based on his time here in Shreveport at the Journal.
Somewhere along his time in Shreveport something happened to make him feel he lost his manhood.
His hatred is (from a psychiatric point of view) obviously based on his mental castration that happened to him while he lived in Louisiana.
If you know anything about psychology it is clearly obvious. He witnessed a cigar tossed at Tuberville and he has run with it.
To justify his hatred he will come up with many other 'imagined' scenarios. Nobody harbors that sort of hatred unless they felt mentally eviscerated in the past and they feel they have scores to settle.
Dont' respond with 'I never listen to him.....he's a prick.....a hack....etc.'
Somebody or several people damaged him mentally several years ago and he can't deal with it.
When you read or listen to his tirades about all things LSU or Baton Rouge or Louisiana....it's clear to all that obviously understand the human mental condition that something very bad happened to him during his time here.
He is to be pitied and prayed for because he has clearly been mentally hurt and damaged. And I believe is was to such an extent that I can in some way understand his vitriolic rants toward all things Louisiana.
We all get hurt and strike out and try to hurt those that have hurt us.
Paul is obviously not mature enough to seek counseling and try to sort through his hatred.
I'm not saying he needs to do so. His rants of hatred may be a way for him to deal with his past hurts.
He is to be pitied and if you see him at future games please treat him kindly. Not that he will acknowledge any kindness toward him. He will probably spent the rest of his days 'howling at the moon' about all things LSU.
Realize that his rants are out of line with reasoned thought and that he has been damaged and hurt and I only hope and pray as a fellow human being he gets help with his feelings of hate.

The worst day of Finebaum's life was the night LSU won the 2007 BCS and AP national title.
He was mummified and hoped that this year would be bad. If LSU finishes 10-3 and beats Bama next year with a good season of wins v. losses; that will be his next worst day.

You are right.....ratings! But why his laser focused hatred to all things Louisiana? Why not Florida? Georgia? Auburn?
This is beyond ratings. He was hurt and he's not saying. Nor do I expect or should he say what happened.

Finebaum gets paid to keep the shite stirred. Maybe not as much or often as LSU, but (at times) his rhetorical diarrhea has been equally aimed at both BAMA and AU. Depending on who's wound was the freshest.

You're wrong. I've been listening and reading for the past four years. Something happened to him during his time here.
That being said....I actually think he is good at what he does. I do understand he stirs the pot and he keeps the passion alive for football but his hatred for Louisiana is out of whack which clearly indicates something happened to him during his time hear.
If you understand ANYTHING about psychology it is painfully obvious.

If you take finebaum seriously, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

I'll just go out on a limb and say that a big ole by from Coushatta probably caught him outside a bar in Bossier City one night and wecomed him to town, "Deliverence" style...taught him how to squeal REAL loud...like a pig...while the big ole boy had those little tufts of hair above his ears in each hand. Just guessin'....

He was probably disappointed in the alternative lifestyle numbers among the young fellas in NW La. Heard he took to walking around Cedar Grove in a mumu just to get some attention.

"...the sewage that they call a swamp in Louisiana".
My personal favorite for wanting to kick his rat looking face in.
"FINEBAUM" Sounds like a pick up line in an English gay bar.

When did he work at the Journal? I remember Jerry Byrd and JJ Marshall very well.

The replies tonight is not what I was looking or hoping for.
You folks don't understand he deserves our pity. It's hard to do when he says mean and hateful things since he has a journalistic forum.
Don't blame him for his rants! It's clear he is unable to deal with his emotions. To strike back is what fuels his hatred. You're playing into his mental disease and justifying (in his mind) his hatred for all things Louisiana.
You need to show some compassion! I'm not trying to be condescending here. The man needs help.

So what do you suggest?
Don Imus had a troubled past but no one gave him any latitude with the Rutgers incident.
