I thought the white guy was the problem, because he was livid trying to go back at the other guy.
Sounds like he got beat up pretty good so probably best that guys were able to break it up.
Cop sounds like a trash POS that needs to be fired at the very least.

Did you provide a statement to police?
Did they at least take your info?
This will now be a EBRSO investigation for criminal charges and LSP Internal Affairs for personnel investigation.
Please contact LSP and give your info if not already taken.

saw the whole thing from start to finish. The off duty copy stood up at some point, told the Dad “I’ll slap the frick oucha” , then challenged him to come down to the portal to fight. The Dad had his whole family there, didn’t move. The off duty cop, unsatisfied with him unsuccessfully goading the Dad to “stepping outside” to the portal, came back to the seats, and hit him with a straight right hand in front of his family. As you can imagine, the Dad’s kids were crying and shook up.
I was 4 rows above the fight in section 102 and saw and heard the whole thing. I am going to call EBRSO tomorrow and offer up a statement. The off duty LSP was 1000000% the aggressor and in the wrong.

Will be much easier to just call LSP Internal Affairs and ask the assigned investigator to also provide you with info for EBRSO Detective handling criminal charges.

Thank you, I didn’t know that. Will do that.

You’re welcome.
LSP will wait till EBRSO completes their investigation and after referred to DA for prosecution, LSP will also take that info and finish their internal investigation.

This is one of those times I hope someone recorded it for the investigation.

Not sure she knew what planet she was on…. Thought she was going to pole dance the rail.

Agree! Thank you for doing your civic duty. This POS needs to lose his job and more. Wish I could have been there to help the Dad. Boils my blood that someone much less a state trooper would act this way especially in front of the Dad’s family/kids.

GeauxtigersMs36 - not a response to your post but just hopping on the caboose.
Does anyone know what LSU's official policy is on profanity at events?
Some background, when I first attended games as a child 50+ years ago, there seem to be numerous fights and excessive liquor at games. What I don't recall there being was crude language to any noticeable extent. There may have been an "oh sh!$!" or "SoB" but 'bout it.
Fast forward. When I began taking my children to games (as young as 3), I explained to them there would be things heard at games that they were not allowed to repeat. It worked.
What also had changed was the proliferation of officers at games. Now that the level of crude language is off the charts, how does LSU officially handle it? I have seen where my fellow-fans allowed security to deal with the potty-mouth that won't flush. I get it, most of us prefer to politely ask the offending party to tone it down because there are children in proximity. But maybe in this day it's best to let security do their job.

“ Miyagi hate fighting.” I hate fighting. It’s a good way to land in jail and possibly prison if someone gets badly hurt.

I was row 20, so it was like 15/16

It took a long time for the cops to get there too. I’d say 5-7 mins. Which is a lifetime.
Long enough for it to start in the stands, spill into the portal below, all the way to the next section’s portal.
Understandable considering the concourses are built like Binky the Clown's fun house.
