Can confirm the blood droplets. I took my kid’s white linens to the concession stand where, to my surprise, Ray Lewis was working and offered me a Tide stain remover pen.

Off duty state trooper fights 2 guys down stairs and into concourse for 5 minutes or so. First time I have seen it.

Fight broke out rows above us. Guys fought down stairs and into concourse. Blood flew on my kids shirts. Good times.

Did it happen after halftime? If so we can now we're down to the 35 people that were there

Back in 60s and 70s there were fights every game, multiple fights. They crowd could always be found looking in that direction and not even watch the game. During Ole Miss and Tulane there were several fights.

I’m genuinely not sure whether this is autocorrect.

Good to hear. Parents doing something right.

I hear gen alpha may be more similar to gen X than Y or Z, which is encouraging.

That was the case well into the 80’s and 90’s. In fact, it seemed rarer to NOT see a fight than see one. The same thing always happened. At some point in the game everyone would randomly all start standing and looking in the same direction. When that happened you knew immediately what they were looking at. I recall it being so frequent that after a while I quit paying attention so I wouldn’t miss what was happening on the field. For their parts, the cops usually gave out some punishment when they arrived on scene.

Then, in the 2000’s through (well I guess not actually “today”) the fights seemed to suddenly stop. I can’t recall the last one I saw in the stadium. It feels like it’s been at least 10-15 years.

I blame cell phones. It used to be you were stuck at the game, good or bad, because you didn’t know if you could meet up with anyone if you left early. So you just stayed, drank, eventually got mad, and fought. Now if you want to leave you just text/call your friends and go meet up with them. No one is staying long enough to get hammered and fight anymore
