Added to current design would be nails!
wasn't that just due to the mowing pattern? Like golf courses do with checkered fairways - it's just the direction of the mowers.

No, it was definitely painted in some way. I wonder if along with the every other 5 yds being a different shade, would that poster also want the other teams colors and initials painted at midfield and one endzone like it was then?

Like having a large blue and red UM or red and white UA in the endzone? Because that was a thing.

but see in this image the different green colors on the field, which is fairly recent because it includes the south EZ expansion.

Those weren't dyed - it was from the mowing direction.

In the 70s and 80s it was definitely painted and looked nice

The darker sections were painted. I’ve watched it being painted many times

it was definitely much darker in the 70s, so perhaps is was painted.

But I'd think if it were painted, our guys' uniforms would've been hugely stained green from that paint.

But I admit don't know.

Out of curiosity... with a new coach, do you think the field design gets an update? Would you like to see one? If so, what would you like?

Hmmmm...are you still trying to get this changed but just going about it in a more disguised way?

Yeah, but the turf type and grain plays a part just like the rollers on the mowers.
And yes, even paint.

Maybe 20 years ago they were painted different shades of green. But I know for a fact those are just lines from being mowed different directions.

They may have a different times painted a specific spot but they have never painted the entire field anyone that believes this is crazy.
