I'm looking at google maps and there are 3 ways it is showing me.

I-10 then I-49 N then I-20 W (goes from lafeyette --> shreveport --> dallas)

I-10 then I-45 N (goes through lafeyette to houston then to dallas)

I-10 the whole way.

It says the lafeyette --> shreveport --> dallas is the fastest but one of my friends said one of the interstates is 75 the whole way or something of that nature and I thought that might be the fastest? Any help would be nice.

D. 190 to Opelousas - I-49 to Shreveport - 1-20W to Dallas.

Opelousas native and LSU grad here who's been living in TX over 20 years and travels to Opelousas a few times each year.

I agree with A...Just keep in mind when traveling on I-49 you will want to merge onto LA-3132 to I-20W

190 to Opelousas will save you an extra 20 mins, especially if you are already on the north side of BR.

Dont listen to any of these jokers. Go with C. 10 the whole damn way. Youll be shocked at the time it takes to get there.

I have taken 71 from 190 and gone to Bunkie and gotten on 49 from there. About 3 people use that highway now so you can go about as fast as you want.

If you're driving...
A. A lot of folks say 190 to Opelousas but I'd rather the extra 10 minutes and be on Interstate the whole way. Parts of I-49 are posted at 75.
