He must sit in the weak fan section. I was telling people we going for 2 as it appeared the offense was staying on field. My NE section all thought is was a great call before the play!

Great call by a great coach! Feels so good to have adults in charge again!

Kelly took the refs out of the equation with his decision

I'm not normally one that is critical of the refs but I think after that tipped ball Kelly knew he had to end it with a 2 point conversion

With the benefit of replay that needs to be overturned 100% of the time

going for two was actually a smart decision.

If we just kicked the PAT to go to the 2nd OT, both teams would run 2-point plays.

So to win in the second OT, we would have to stop Bama's 2-point play AND convert ours.

Better to just run ours in the first OT. Now, of course, we lose if we don't convert, but the game is in our hands right there. Take the chance.

Then if it goes to a 3rd OT you have to go for 2 anyways.

FYI

Beginning with the second overtime period, teams must attempt a two-point conversion after scoring a touchdown.

Beginning with the third overtime period, teams will begin to run alternating two-point conversion plays instead of offensive possessions.

Y’all know how hard I’ve been on CBK (I made a crow thread on the Scoreboard)

It was 100% the right decision. 2 yards to beat Bama you take it.

After the Daniels touchdown in one play run, I thought this team would not be denied....and they weren't

I was yelling it to all next to me when we won the toss in OT. If it came down to answering a bama TD you go for 2. Both offenses were hot and defenses getting tired and the entire stupidity of OT now is all about 2 pt conversions and you a only have so many great calls on those in your bag each week that the other team has not seen yet.

I knew he was going for 2 when we tied it up. FSU flashbacks were on our mind

I was at the game, section 418. Everyone around me was in disbelief, but we all trusted the play. I actually told everyone around me the play Coach Kelly SHOULD run…and it just so happened to be the one that won us the game:,)

I’m tired of explaining why but it wasn’t a hard decision. The hard part was being able to deal with the reaction if you don’t convert. But from a tactical standpoint it was an easy call. I knew immediately they were going to go for 2 and spent the whole time out trying to bring people off the ledge and explain why he’s going for 2 based on the new OT rules.

not too many people against it in my section. I think we all started seeing flashbacks to FSU, because there was a lot of claps and "frick yes go for 2" when we first lined up.
