Most of us baseball nuts are just very appreciative of those who provide Fall/Spring reports (on their own dime) and don't want others giving them grief lest they stop.

I don't recall reading where Evans has pitched in any fall games. Did I miss something? Is he alright?

Plenty of bats this year and added athleticism. The question mark remains do we have top flight SEC starting pitching.

Thank you kind sir. Didn't realize I would get hammered with DVs for just asking. Tough bunch on here.

Stick around. The baseball threads have some hard-core baseball people. These are baseball people 365 days a year. But typically, these threads focus on the game and the players without the name calling and insults of other threads. You got some dvs for a question these guys knew while they were still pooping their diapers, but you can get some good insight if you hang around.

Not the best start for Schmidt - single, double, HR to the first three batters.

Was that Nawrocki's second HR this fall? Where's Alec with our fallball HR tracker?

The starting lineup won’t be deterred till spring, IMO. There aren’t many positions locked up yet. I think the transfer players, as a group, are more ready to compete at LSU’s level than last year’s bunch based on their stats from last year. This is based on their success against quality competition at their previous schools.
I think there is a possibility for the lineup to change game to game based on lefty righty matchups. There are two quality players at a few positions who could be asked to platoon next spring.
As I’ve said to others who have asked my option of this team, I say that I am cautiously optimistic. I don’t intend to eat crow as I did last year.

I think Dominic Santarelli has a high upside based on his power and athletisism. I am anxious to see how he adjusts to the pitching at LSU’s level. If he takes the steps required to be a consistent contact hitter, he will be an offensive star for LSU.

I am taking applications for an apprentice if any of you would like to apply you can find me in the first row behind the 1st base dugout during any scrimmage. I intend to keep posting scrimmage summaries until I can’t.
