Guidry needs to gain weight, understand he's a a P and become a starter by next year.

Seems like Anderson has pitched well a few times. Fully recovered from injury it appears. Thoughts?

Huh? He's not pitching a single inning in the fall. That's the opposite of "understands he's a pitcher."

And as far as being a starter next year. That just further proves how far out of your arse you are talking.

He is a P. He needs to understand that's what he is. He can be a great one.

He didn't come to LSU as a pitcher. He stepped up and filled a massive need for us last year, but he was recruited and came to play infield. He might damn well struggle to get on the mound as a pitcher much this year.

Not Scuba, but I have seen Anderson work the last two Sunday outings. He's looked pretty good. Got a big strikeout today. He has hit 94 mph once while I was there, but he has mostly been 92-93 at the top end.

Seems healthy to me.

He will struggle to see the field as a if. 12 k in 23 AB is Bush league. I love him as a P if he gains weight.

Dugas was a MIF his entire life, he shifted to the OF when he got to
LSU. You act like it was a stretch for him to play there

Outside of his arm injury that was out of his control, he was a pretty poor defensive second baseman. Pop ups, and ranging in either direction was not a strength

Anderson had Tommy John +/- 18mo ago.

He looks really good doing everything

J Brown is a player, no doubt.
Don’t let Binghams current average fool you though, he barrels the ball up and has really good at bats. I’ve seen a few times at scrimmages where he moved runners up or got a sacrifice fly when needed to score a run. When he’s at the plate he does his job way above his current average. I’ll be surprised if he’s not a starting outfielder.
Also, like another poster said in this thread, D Mitchell looks like a player. He will see some action this year imo. Him being able to switch hit gives him a huge boost.

Not discounting what Guidry did as a true Fr on the mound. And maybe I needed to play closer attention, but it's hard to project Guidry as a pitcher at the next level.

He basically had no freshman season as a batter so I don't worry too much about his hitting - yet. I just think his future is in infield, not on the mound.

Prolly gonna get down voted but I don’t see guidry contributing much in the field. You have to hit and unfortunately he doesn’t…. Yet. I’m holding out hope tho

there was a reason why though. Jay has basically said publicly he was/is not ready to hit college pitching.

I always try to sit in the first row behind the first base dugout in section "B". I like to hear what is being said in the dugout and it gets me closer to the field, which is easier on my old eyes. I carry a purple notebook for notes.
