Your right you have the right to leave early...but you shouldn't that is all anyone is saying..is that you can and have the right to leave early but should you not
The audacity of someone thinking they should have the right to tell others what they should and shouldn't do is amazing.

sorry, pal, but when you pay over 4,000.00 for tickets, you can leave when you damn feel like it. NEVER on the hisory of the school has a tiger team, given up 50 points twice in one year untl this year. if i want to leave early, i can, i paid for the damn right. if i want to beat traffic instead of watching that painful mess, it is my right. thanks
we know its your right pal. nobody is saying its not. Oh and congratulations on being rich. I'm sure you'll love obama

It's called balls...I am not making the rules just telling them!!! You have the right to own a gun..doesn't mean I shouldn't use it!!!!

It should be illegal to leave games early. Then you wouldn't have the right!

horrible analogy btw..

this was a terrible showing by the fans

The argument was won after the first post - I appreciate you die-hards continuing to make the good point. The game was not out of reach.
We aren't talking about a few missing seats. I am talking complete vacant sections, without a single person - while we were driving to get it to 7.
How anyone can argue that this was not pitiful fan representation, is beyond me, and a good many reasonable people here. After the game is out of reach, I personally don't have a problem with someone leaving. That wasn't the case here in the bloody 3rd quarter.

Well the guys cleaning up the stadium today are probably happy it was half filled by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Well unless its related to his family, an excellent movie, or a business transaction - then yeah - he's a stand up guy. Did I mention that he cares about his family - oh yes - I see I did!

You have the right to leave early. I have the right to call you a fair-weather fan for it. If freedom of action is your argument, then you shouldn't care one bit that I think you're a crappy fan. But I do have the right to do it. I hate the argument of freedom of action also grants freedom from consequence.
My attitude towards fandom is shaped a lot by going to school during the early 1990s. LSU lost a lot. But it made me appreciate the climb. It is the process, not just the wins. It also taught me never to complain about a 5-2 team. I would have killed someone to be 5-2 15 years ago. If you want to leave early, fine. But why bother going to the game? Why not let someone else buy that ticket who will actually enjoy it?
And if this is just entertainment, why are you on an LSU message board talking about it? Stop watching. Start rooting for whoever is winning this week and leave us alone.

Yes keep on enlarging the stadium so we can sell more fare weather fans season tickets. Making this stadium any larger is stupid. It already looks like any other stadium with the east addition.
Tiger stadium is not what it use to be. We never play at night anymore which is'nt tiger staduim and the fans are flakes. Which is what happens when you get too big for your britches.
For the true LSU FANS hang in there and run these aholes off.

My wife and I went to the game. I don't have season tickets. I was a student at LSU from 79-82. My wife was not an LSU student but was born and raised in Louisiana and enjoys the games and is proud of the university. I'm not trying to tell anyone when they can leave it is a free country BUT... I do have an opinion. It is only my opinion and I am free to express it. If you disagree fine.
1) When I was a student we stuck. Winning or losing. We were losing a lot more often then they do now. I was disappointed the student section started emptying out as early as it did.
2) We don't have season tickets. I make at least 1 game a year. I was at the MSU game and the UGA game and will be at Ole Miss also. As a result we don't always sit in the same place. We were in the Tiger Terrace on the upper West deck. IT SUCKED. People around us basicly barely watching the game no cheering, no spirit. Pitiful. Wife said if they're going to wear the colors they ought to cheer.
3) I don't leave early - my choice - I don't get to spend enough time in Tiger Stadium as I can only make certain games. I can understand people jumping early to beat traffic but not when the game is undecided. After last year especially I don't understand people starting to leave as early as they were this weekend.
There said it - flame away.

By contrast, a 3 - 4 Tennessee team had a ton more people in the stands at games end, despite being blown out by Alabama.
There were fewer than 10K TN fans left in Neyland midway through the 4th. Those bitches were G O N E.

Well said. Prolly said many pages ago, but still the message being sent when the cameras panned back. Was the upper deck even full to start the game? Looked like we started w/o capacity? Announced, what, second largest crowd?

I'm with you 1000%.
Anyone who goes with me knows rule #1...I see the last play of the game from my seat...in the upper East. Because your team isn't winning is no reason to leave. Hell, it's more of a reason to stay...to cheer them on...to let them know you support them and appreciate their efforts.
I was glad to see one frat in the student section...kahki pants, white shirts, ties...staying until the end.

I'm disappointed in the game atmosphere, but the game is made for TV, not the people in the stands.
A CBS game is tortuous. I sit three rows up in the East Upper and got more sun than a day at the beach.
I can tolerate most anything you throw at me to enjoy a Tiger football game, but I'm a die hard. I used crutches one week after ACL surgery to see a Spring Game.
I can't say I blame people much for leaving when we see the entire flow of the game dictated by TV. Can't keep chants going for 10 minutes.
