Fair weather LSU fans exude class on National TV

I'm writing this more to vent than to get replies I even care to read. Some of you will agree with me - many will not.
I have never, seen a nationally televised game have so many empty seats early in the 4th quarter, as was shown Saturday in Baton Rouge. What a total disgrace.
All of you fair weather fans who left early, even if LSU was down, are just pathetic. Where is your damn pride and support? Where is it? Many of LSU's players did not give up in that game, and I am sure it was an inspiration for THEM to see so many of you fair weather homers, leave early.
Way to support the team - bravo - typical spoiled "we have to win a national championship every year mentality". This team was 5 - 1 - even down, you support them. By contrast, a 3 - 4 Tennessee team had a ton more people in the stands at games end, despite being blown out by Alabama.
For all the "pomp and circumstance", and all of your purple and gold material possessions, you are not a good fan. You don't support LSU or support this particular LSU football team. You only support them when they are winning and then, you brag to all about how great and big a LSU fan you are. What an absurd joke!
Lastly, if you plan to stupidly attack me with your childish rants, don't bother. I am willing to bet you were one of those who left early.

Those were Alabama fans. I don't think you were watching the same game I was watching. The announcers talked about them leaving in the 3rd quarter.

shite man tenn was down 22 to 3 in the 4th and didn't START to leave until 5 mins left in the game. our fanbase sucks and we need to go winless for a few seasons to cleans the fanbase.

Great post! I stayed until both teams walked off the field and felt like I was at a high school game the entire 4th Q. So much for "Tiger Stadium, where only Tigers survive!". We don't sit through the game, much less survive.

Its unacceptable that people left early? Please. Whats unacceptable is the way the D was playing. When Georgia went up 38-17, what made you think the D would step up and make it an interesting game to watch?

Agree completely, as people were leaving my section in the southendzone in the 3rd quarter, I was yelling my arse off at them telling them to give their tickets to some real fans the next time they think about going to a game.
Ohh, and I had a 3 hour drive back to Texas and still didn't leave early.

So Alabama fans wear Orange now in Knoxville - if you say so. I am not saying that many did not leave - I am comparing what I saw left there as opposed to what was a joke in Baton Rouge!

I agree with you 100%. Not only did I stay until the game clock read 0:00, but I stayed in the middle of a group of Georgia fans till the end. Besides the two people sitting with me there was one LSU fan in front of me and 2 on the side. The 2 on the side left in the third and the other one left in the middle of the fourth. I never ever ever leave a game early, whether we are down by 50 or up by 50.

Gotta say I agree with you here. As an LSU alum who never missed a home game during 8 years as a student there (including the abysmal 0-6 1983 SEC season), I was disappointed to see so many "fans" giving up so early. Hopefully the Tigers' inspired effort in the 4th quarter will inspire the fans in future games to remain until the end.

This is perhaps the most ignorant post ever to appear on this website. I've said why already on "Bandwagon" Bashers are Wrong. And Here is Why...

LSU was only down 14 with about 6 minutes left in the 4th. We had a first down on about the UGA 15, if not closer. If we score there and make it a 7 point game with about 5 or 6 minutes left, who knows what might have happened.
you, fair-weather fans.
We have enough of y'all for baseball... we don't need that disease spreading to football. Which it already has.

same reason that in the 90's the stadium only had 70-80k on a consistent basis. its because most people are not true fans. people have the right to leave early. I also have the right to call those people pussies
