If they go unbeaten then they deserve to be in, if doing so impressively. There are many scenarios where things could get dicey for any team but that's why they play the games. An undefeated OSU would likely take precedent over an undefeated Big 12 team. Clemson goes unbeaten they are in, man even 1 loss. SEC is where a team is probable to get screwed. Quite a few scenarios where a 1 loss team can happen. A 1 loss SEC is better in terms of resume than all of the other conferences unbeaten. Doubtful it would be recognized though.

Heckuva schedule not to mention the championship game.

There’s not a legit top 10 team on that entire list.

It’s like someone mentioned in another post, it’s a season of scrimmages. Whomever wins the “title” will have an * by it, which is fine.
It is, what it is!

Easy, it is an 8 game conference schedule, which the SEC normally plays, plus a Title Game. So 9-0 Big TEN Champion will have played through the 2nd most difficult conference schedule only behind the SEC.

I would argue that in a situation where the SEC, ACC, Big10 and Big 12 champs are all undefeated, seating would be SEC 1, ACC 2 (11 or 12-0), Big 10 3 and Big 12 4 (Big 12 top to bottom looks weaker than what the ACC looked last year). ACC with improving Miami, UNC and Notre Dame in the mix this year will have better power rankings.

This is the perfect year to expand the playoffs to 8 teams. It’ll allow teams to play against other conferences to alleviate the question of their conference strength. This is the first year that we won’t have any inter conference play, and since everyone is playing fewer games, it won’t add too much. The only concern is Covid standards, but hopefully by January we’ll figure that out. The playoffs should avoid any intraconference games.

Would be difficult, Championship Game is 11 January. SEC Title game is 19 December. So that is only 22 days between SEC title game and CFP Championship game. The Semi's are set for 1 January in New Orleans and Pasadena. So given the Conference title games are set for 19 December, I don't see a way for that to happen.

Because they have the name. Only other team that could have that easy schedule and male the playoff...... is Bama.

This^

Correct

Should LSU get in the playoffs if we only play 5 conference games and go 5-0?
